Electric clockwork movement. It has already been proposed (see for example 1c Swiss Patent No. 11-92.68) to combine the mature arcing of an electromagnet with a free escape on a lift from which this armature acts to maintain the movements. . of the balance. The escapement was in this case constituted by a lever carrying at one end a fork and .de the other a single lift. In order for a movement of this kind to function with all the desired precision, oil is needed in the lift impulse plane.
However, the temperature differences give rise to changes in the properties of the oil and as soon as they exceed a certain magnitude, such a movement does not occur. plus his regular walk. It is therefore not suitable, for example, as an instrument, board for motor cars, motor boats, airplanes, etc.
The object of the present invention is an electric clockwork movement with free escapement, comprising an electromagnet whose armature acts directly to soft see the aieuilles and also maintains the movement of the balance, in which the member which transmits the impulse to the balance is integral with the armature and acts on the balance via a single impulse surface.
The le-: @ - ée to be oiled, with the resulting inconveniences, is thus eliminated. It is also possible to dispense with the contact having a mechanical action on the balance, used in the electric movement described in the aforesaid patent. -One thus obtains a simplified movement, in which .des functions hitherto distributed over several elements of the mechanism are performed by the same organ.
The attached drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the components in the position in which they are found when the balance oscillates freely; Fig. 2 shows these same organs in the position they occupy after the balance has received an impulse; Fig. 3 is a right view of the movement shown in fig. 2; Fig. 4 is a view on a larger scale of a part of said movement.
The movement shown comprises an electromagnet 1 connected, on the one hand, to pad 2 constituting one of the poles of a switch and, on the other hand, to one of the terminals of a source, of current not shown. This electromagnet acts -on an armature 3, pi voted in 4, which carries, at one of its ends, 3 ', a nozzle 5, acting by means of the, horn 5' on a pin 6 that carries a ba lancer 7. Near the lower end of the spout 5 is provided a finger 5 "whose function will be seen later.
The other end, -3 ", of this armature receives the force of a leaf spring 8 stretched during the excitation of the electromagnet 1. This same end 3" carries an impulse pawl 11 actuating a mid nuterie 10 via the mobile 9. The mature ar 3 also acts on a contact latch 12 cooperating with the pad 2 to close the circuit of the electromagnet 1.
The finger 5 "cooperates with a stop 14 integral with a lever 15 to retain the mature ar. In the attracted position and not release it - only at the opportune moment. This lever 15, pivoted at 16, is subjected to faction of a spring 17, one end of which is integral with said rocker, the other resting on a fixed peg. This spring tends to keep the latch pressed against the fixed pin. -In this position, the stop 14 retains mature ar 3 in the drawn position.
The lever 15 also carries a small spring 18, the end of which is in the path of the pin 6 and which bears against a pin 19 of the rocker.
--- The device shown works -in the following way: The balance oscillating in the direction of. arrow 20 and the members respectively occupying the positions shown in FIG. 1 ,. the city che 6 meets the spring 18 which presses on% --- ankle 19, so that the lever 15 is driven. The stop 14 frees the finger 5 "respectively the frame 3 which the spring 8 causes to pass from the position of fig. 1 to that of fig. 2.
The horn 5 'of the beak 5 on this occasion counteracts the ankle 6 passes in the meantime to the left and gives an impulse to the balance.
. In the position it occupies in fig. 2, the armature 3 causes the closing of the switch 2 - and the coils 1 are energized. The frame is immediately attracted against the action of the spring 8, and the finger 5 "re-engages under the stop. 14 causing the rocker to wobble 15 which the spring 17 brings back to the stop position - The balance continues to move to slow down and downshift under the influence of its hairspring, not shown.
By oscillating in the opposite direction to that of the arrow 20, the pin, 6 meets the <B>, </B> spring 18 again, but the latter flexes, its tension acting in the same direction as that of the spring 17 so that the stop 14 remains -in the position where it stops the finger 5 "so that the mechanism remains at rest. The pin 6 passes to the right of 18, the movement of the balance is damped; resumes in the opposite direction - and the same play is reproduced. It should be noted that when the armature .3 is blocked by the stop 14, the contact at 2 is broken and said armature is no longer subjected to the action of res sort $.
