Fig. 8) stützen.
springen (vergl. Fig. 10).
Fig. 9).
I>D</I> soweit zurückgezogen,
Fig. 8).
Fig. 1) erreicht ist.
Fig.16)
Automatic central buffer coupling. The invention relates to an automatic central buffer coupling with a fixed claw on each head and a recess which is located behind the claw and is intended for the claw of the opposing head. The aim of the invention is to create a coupling of this type which has a large gripping area.
The drawings show: FIG. 1 an embodiment of the subject of the invention in a top view of the closed clutch, FIG. 2 a top view of the opened clutch, FIGS. 3 and 4 the opened clutch with the clutch halves pushed against each other in the horizontal direction, FIG a side view of the coupling in the position according to FIG. 2,
6 shows a side view of the opened coupling with the coupling halves displaced in the vertical direction; FIG. 7 shows the end view of an individual coupling head; furthermore show on a larger scale:
8, 9 and 10 each show a horizontal section through the clutch in different positions of the gupplungsgesperres and on an even larger scale Fig.ll a section according to 11-J11 of the Fier. 8, seen from the left; FIGS. 12 to 14 show, on the scale of FIG. 8, a second exemplary embodiment with the parts in different positions;
15 to 17 show a further exemplary embodiment shown in a horizontal longitudinal section, also in different positions of individual parts.
In the first embodiment, the coupling heads of an automatic central buffer coupling are designated by A and A '. The coupling heads are each carried by a coupling rod B which is attached to a railway vehicle (not shown) in such a resilient manner that it always tries to assume its central position. The heads .A and A <B> '</B> are completely identical to each other.
Each head has a fixed claw a13 and a recess a2 located behind the claw intended for the corresponding claw of the opposing head. The claw a13 and the recess a2 extend # beyond the center plane of the coupling perpendicular to the plane of FIG.
The front surface of the claw d3, the end face a ', runs from the mit-to obliquely backwards and is extended to over the vertical center plane of the coupling, while the rear surface of the recess, the end face a4, of the Center runs obliquely forward and is also extended to over the vertical center plane of the coupling ver.
Below the claw there is a guide horn C, .that connects to the claw with a horizontal surface cl, .that merges into an obliquely downward ge surface c2 (see especially FIG. 5). Each horn C also has a lateral leading edge c '. Each dome head also has on its underside an inclined surface a 'intended for guiding the horn C of the opposing head.
Since the gripping area of the couplings #ion depends on the length of the horns C, the described arrangement of the recesses a2 and the claws a13, the gripping area. the couplings enlarged by a corresponding amount.
In the head there is a pawl D which is firmly connected to a bolt E and can be pivoted about the axis of the bolt. The pawl is under the action of a spring F, which tries to bring it into its locking position (see Fig. 10),
in which they with a stop piece dl from a provided in the end face a3 of the coupling head. recess a 'protrudes and, when the clutch is closed, engages in a recess a'r made in the end face a4 of the opposing head.
The pawl D has a shoulder dz on which a locking spring G -be is fastened, which protrudes from the head and rests in a recess a $ .of the opposing head in the closed position of the coupling.
The spring G can be supported with its end g1 against the end of the end face a4 of the opposing head (see Fig. 9) or against a stop c3 of your own head (see Fig. 8). The pawl D also has a fin ger d3, behind which a bolt hl of a shift lever H rotatable about a pin h2 engages.
Pull cords K1 and K2 (see FIGS. 1 to 4), which are connected to one another, are attached to the locking spring G and the lever H. The bolt E, which is firmly connected to the pawl D, is mounted with a lot of play in the holes a1 and aal (see Fig. 11) of the claw.
The end d4 of the pawl is mounted in a cavity a12 of the claw in such a way that the pawl rests against the walls of the cavity when the axis of the bolt F coincides with the axis of the bores d and all (Fig. 11).
A force which acts in the longitudinal direction of the pawl D is thus transmitted directly to the claw at the point d4, so that the bolt E remains free from bending loads. At the upper end of the bolt E, a transfer piece M is attached, which has two sliding surfaces ml and W, which are suitable for acting on corresponding sliding surfaces on the opposite head.
I face the two. Coupling halves opposite in such a way that their axes fall into a straight line (see Fig. 2 and 5) - so when the vehicles are pushed together, the two horns C - with their edges c3 against each other, with these edges sliding on each other, so -that .the two claws d3 are guided past one another.
When pushed together further, the end faces a3 and a4 come into contact and bring the claws a13 into the recesses a2 of the opposing head. The stops dl of the pawls D meet against the star surfaces <I> a4, </I> so that the pawls <I> D </I> are pressed into the claws and only when the final position is reached under the action of the springs F in the locked position.
jump (see Fig. 10). If the coupling is to be released again, the operator pulls on one of the cords K ', for example the head A1. As a result, with the intermediation of the lever H, the pawl D is withdrawn until the locking spring G can be supported with its end g 'against the face a4 of the head A.
At the same time, the sliding surface ml of the transmission piece M presses against the sliding surface m2 of the transmission piece of the opposing head <1, so that with the help of the bolt E, the pawl <I> D </I> of the head <I> A </I> is gebxaeht in the release position (see. Fig. 9). In this position, the vehicles can easily be pulled apart.
After pulling apart, the coupling heads automatically return to the position according to Fig. 2. If, for example, the coupling of the vehicles is to be avoided completely when moving ben, so that the coupling only acts as a buffer, by pulling harder, the Cord K 'the pawls <I> D </I> pulled back so far,
that the locking springs G step behind the stops a of the associated head. So that the locking mechanism is fully disengaged (see FIG. 8). From this clutch-preventing position, the clutch can be brought back into the clutch position by pulling on the cord KZ, as well as from the release position.
If the closed coupling (see FIG. 10) is subjected to tensile stress, the pawl D is pressed with its part d 'against the wall, the recess a' and is prevented from loosening the coupling. Since the compressive stress on the pawl counteracts the bending of the associated claw a ″ by the tensile force acting on the coupling, the bending stress on the claw is reduced.
If the coupling heads are laterally displaced in the manner of FIG. 4 when moving together, the end faces a4 slide on the end faces a3 of the opposing head until the final position (see FIG. 1) is reached.
If the heads are side by side in the manner of FIG. 3, the carts c3 of the horns C meet when they are pushed together and the claws a13 come together before.
If the two heads have a height difference before they move together (see Fig. 6), this is compensated by the horn of the higher head by the fact that the horn lies against the inclined guide surface ca 'of the opposing head and lifts the opposing head .
In the second exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 12 to 14, the external shape of the coupling heads essentially corresponds to that of the first exemplary embodiment. With the bolt E, a pawl P is firmly verbun, which protrudes from the opening a 'of the head and engages in a recess a' of the opposite head.
In the coupled position (see FIG. 12), the pawl P rests with a surface p1 on a contact surface of the recess a 'of the opposing head. The surface p1 of the pawl P is designed as a cylinder surface that is concentric to the axis of the pawl E and extends forward into a face. a 'of the coupling head, inclined in such a way, passes over the stop surface p2 that
the pawl P is pushed back under a pressure exerted on the stop surface p 'in the direction of the end face al in the head. A double-armed lever R is attached to the pawl P by means of a pin Q, one arm of which has two noses <I> r </I> 'and r'.
A spring S, which is attached to the outside of the head by a clamp s' [, presses on the id on the arm. A stop a14 is provided on the coupling head for lugs r1 and r2. The stop a14 has a contact surface t @ l 'against which the lever R can be supported with its back surface.
A lever arm r3 designed as a hand lever is also attached to the lever R. Since the plant surface cal 'and the stop a14 are subject to strong wear, the part that harbors this surface is interchangeable.
In the uncoupled and in the coupled state, the parts of each coupling head assume the position shown in FIG. If the two coupling heads A and A 'meet, the surfaces a3 and a4 slide on one another until the heads have reached the coupling position shown in FIG.
In doing so, the pawl P is first pressed into the head through the end face a4 of the opposing head and only spmingt in the coupling position into the recess a 'of the opposing head. In doing so, its surface p1 lies against; the contact surface, the recess a '. The pawl now acts in the same way as the pawl D of the first exemplary embodiment.
.If the coupling is to be released, the hand lever r3. For example, the coupling head A exerts a pressure in the direction of the arrow x. As a result, the lever B rotates about the pin Q and slides with its back on the contact surface d 'until it passes the stop a14 with its nose r1 (see FIG. 13).
During this movement, the pawl P is retracted into the head A so far that the surface p1 has disengaged from the contact surface of the recess a ': If the coupling is now pulled apart, the contact surface of the recess a7 hits the contact surface p2 of the pawl P and pushes the pawl completely into the head A. As a result, the nose r1 is lifted from the hit a14.
Under the action of the fields S, the lever B is then rotated so far that, after the two coupling heads are released from each other, with: its back surface on, the contact surface a16 hits as soon as the pawl P under the action of the spring S. clutch position again e> resumes. The spring S thus has a double effect,
by both lifting the nose r 'from the stop a "and trying to bring the pawl P into the coupling position.
If coupling is to be avoided when moving the vehicles, then the hand lever r3, for example of the coupling head A, is rotated in the direction of the arrow x until the nose r 'behind the stop c14 occurs. The pawl P is fully withdrawn in the head (Fig. 14).
If the coupling option is to be re-established, the lever r 'is rotated against the direction of the arrow x so that the' parts jump back into the coupling position. The pawl P of the opposite head, for example Al, is taken along in the same way as in the first Ausfüh approximately example by Überertragüngsteile that are attached to the bolt E, so that both pawls perform the same Be movements.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1.5 to 17, the coupling heads 1 and 2, in the coupling position, engage with their claws 3 in the recesses 4 of the opposing head. The side surfaces of the claws 3 and the recesses 4 are inclined to one another at a very acute angle, so that: the claws represent three wedges whose wedge seat is formed by the claws 4.
As a result, the heads 1 and 2. When the clutch is closed, due to the wedge effect of parts 3 and 4, they sit firmly in one another.
In the claw 3 .des head 1, a lever 9 is pivotably mounted by means of a bolt 21 which sits in the head 1 with a lot of play. At its free end a locking lever 10 is articulated, which is able to support itself with its free end 11 against a stop surface 5 of the counter head and in this position reaches through a window 8 of the coupling head. The arrangement here is such that the knee joint 9, 10 assumes a dead center position in this position.
The stop surface 5 and, the surface 11 of the locking lever 10 are designed as cylinder surfaces: their common axis at: the above-mentioned dead center position of the knee joint in a plane laid by the axes of rotation of the levers 9 and 10. On the head 1 there is a stop 7 which prevents the dead center position from being exceeded for the lever 9, which is supported in this position against a flexure spring 28. The locking lever 10 has a set to 12, which can lie against a guide surface 6 of the head 1.
On one arm 18 of the locking lever 10, a two-armed release lever 14 is articulated, one arm 15 of which is under the action of a compression spring 19 and the other arm 16 of which is designed as a hand plane protruding from the coupling head 1. In the release lever 14 detents 17 and 18 are provided which are designed in such a way that the lever 16 can place them against a pin 20 with them.
The bolts 2: 1 of the heads 1 and 2 carry in a known manner non-circular disks 22 outside the coupling heads, through which the rotations of one bolt 21 can be transmitted to the other when the clutch is closed.
In the position ready for the dome = ln, the knee joints 9, 10 and the lever 14 take the position shown in FIG. 16, in which the levers 10 protrude through the windows 8 and the catches 18 .the levers 14 with Iden pins 20 are in engagement. Whoever the coupling heads 1 and 2 against each other .gescho now in a known manner, the claws 3 slide into the recess 4 of the opposing heads.
During this movement, the levers 10 protruding from the windows 8 are pushed back by the opposing head, the locking lever 10 being rotated about a projection 12 and thereby the spring 19 being compressed. If the coupling heads 1 and 2 have reached the mutual position shown in FIG. 15, the spring 19 pushes the knee joint 9, 10 into its dead center position (FIG. 15), so that the lever 10 moves with great force against the stop surface 5 supports.
Since the claws 3 and the recesses 4 are wedge-shaped, the heads are rigidly connected to one another without play. The spring 23 allows the knee joint to exceed its dead center position by a small amount under the action of the spring 19 until the lever 9 comes to rest against the stop 7. When loosening the clutch, the lever 14 is turned around by hand until it rests against the pin 20 with the detent 18 (see Fig. 16)
. If the heads 1 and 2 are pulled apart from this position, the locking lever 10 is pushed back by the stop 5 until it has completely disappeared in the head 1. As soon as the heads 1 and 2 have completely separated from one another, the knee joint 9, 10 is returned to its original position by the spring 19.
In order to bring the transmission into a position preventing the coupling, the release lever 14 is pivoted from the position according to FIG. 16 so far that its catch 17 engages over the pin 20 (FIG. 17).
During this movement of the lifter 14, the levers 9 and 10 belonging to it also move into the position according to FIG. 17, and the movement of the lever 9 is transmitted through the discs 22 to the lever 9 of the other coupling head. Under the pressure of the spring 19, one (in the upper part of FIG. 17, the lower) wall of the detent 17 rests against the pin 20 and thereby prevents rotation. of the lever 14, opposite the knee joint 9, 10.
In this position of the parts, the coupling heads 1 and 2 can easily be pulled apart; when pushing back together. of the heads, however, there is no coupling because the locking levers 10 do not protrude from the windows. The heads then only act as a buffer. By moving the Haud lever 14, the transmission is returned to its original position.
