Device to prevent doors from slamming. The present invention relates to a device for preventing the slamming of doors.
An embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated on the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a plan view of the Vorrich device, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same type when the housing is raised; Fig.3 shows an interior view of the Ge housing; 4 and 5 show the device on the door from above in a view and in section.
6 is a pipe clamp made of chrome-plated or nickel-plated brass sheet. It is fixed immovably to the door handle by means of a nut screw 7, specifically as close as possible to the door. It is connected by a chrome-plated or nickel-plated, approximately 8 cm long chain 8 to the perforated end 10 of an approximately 3.5 cm long lever 10a protruding out of the housing 5, which is shifted by an eccentric slot towards the housing the housing bottom 4 fixed pin 11 is movable.
A tension spring 13 is fastened on the one hand to a pin 14 attached to the side of the lever 10a on the housing bottom and on the other hand to a pin 12 attached to the lever.
The task of this spring is to automatically pull the lever 10a back into its original position again and again. In a handlebar 9 made of sheet brass approximately 2.5 mm thick, a slot is milled out in the longitudinal axis. A pin 15 attached to the inner end of the lever 10a engages in this slot, so that the lever 10a is in movement connection with the handlebar 9 which is rotatable about the axis 16.
This Ax 16 has its storage in the center of the housing 5 and continues to the outside.
This part of the axis 16 protruding from the housing 5 is provided with a thread. The buffer body, consisting of a spring 18 with a reinforcing plate and rubber block 19 attached to the end, is fastened to it by means of a nut 17. The reinforcement plate has its position between the spring and the housing and is therefore connected to the handlebar 9 by means of the AYe 16. The hardened steel spring 18 is also connected to this reinforcement plate by a screw.
The rubber block 19 is attached to the steel spring by means of a small flat head screw 20. The Ge housing 5 and in this upper part a fitted bottom 4 are. Made from injection molding and chrome-plated or nickel-plated on the outside. These two parts are connected to each other by a flat head screw 21, as well as by two further, longer flat head screws, which also serve to screw the whole thing to the door.
The handling and operation of the device described is as follows: The device is to be attached to the outside of the door, that is to say on the side of the door frame, above the door handle and near the door edge. In the rest position, i.e. with the door closed, the rubber block of the buffer body rests on the door frame. If the door is now opened, the buffer body pivots upwards. If the door is open and the door handle is released, the buffer body assumes a horizontal position in such a way that it protrudes beyond the door rebate. If the door is now slammed shut, the buffer body prevents the door from hitting the frame by resting in the fold between the door and the frame.
The door cannot slam, and the buffer body almost completely absorbs the noise that occurs when the door is closed. If the door is now to be closed, the door handle must be pressed down; as a result, the door latch is drawn into the lock case and cannot hit the iron latch case when the door is closed. This also eliminates this annoying noise.
