EMI0002.0015
280 <SEP> Gewichtsteile <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 100 <SEP> Stärke
<tb> 20 <SEP> benzylsulfanilsaures
<tb> Natrium
<tb> 600 <SEP> ,.
EMI0002.0036
170 <SEP> Gewichtsteile <SEP> Tragent <SEP> 65 <SEP> : <SEP> 1.000
<tb> 160 <SEP> Industriegummi <SEP> 1 <SEP> : <SEP> 1
<tb> 60 <SEP> Weizenstärke
<tb> 150 <SEP> Wasser
<tb> 60 <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 100 <SEP> Glyzerin
<tb> 150 <SEP> Pottasche
<tb> 150 <SEP> Natriumformaldehycl sulf <SEP> oxylat.
EMI0003.0026
60 <SEP> Gewichtsteile <SEP> Weizenstärke
<tb> 150 <SEP> Wasser
<tb> 60 <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 260 <SEP> Industriegummi <SEP> 1 <SEP> : <SEP> 1
<tb> <B>1</B>70 <SEP> Tragant <SEP> 65 <SEP> :1000
<tb> 150 <SEP> Pottasche
Dye preparation suitable for textile prints. The main Swiss patent no.154487 protects a dye preparation suitable for textile printing of those dyes that are printed in the reduced state; they contain at least one oxy derivative of anthracene, the oxy groups in the aromatic and still oxygen in contains ms position and is marked on at least one polyhydric, water-soluble alcohol.
It has now been found that the oxy derivatives of anthracene can be replaced with good success by β-arylsulfaminoanthracene derivatives containing oxygen in the ms position, or their salts.
For example, the reaction products of β-aminoanthraquinone with aroma tokens. Sulphonic chloride or reduction products of these compounds, which still contain oxygen in the ms position, are used. The manufacturing method of the dye preparations can be the same as in Switzerland. Main patent No. 154487 stated to be, too, is.
the technical progress, which is achieved by adding the reaction products mentioned, is similar to the one described in this patent. In some cases the new dye preparations are even superior to those that contain oxyanthraquinones.
It goes without saying that the reaction products of the amino anthraquinones with aromatic sulfochlorides can also be mixed with oxyanthraquinones, aminoanthraquinones, anthraquinone sulfo- or carboxylic acids, anthraquinones themselves or oxygen-containing reduction products from these bodies or mixed with hydrotropic substances Find use.
The extent of the effect that can be achieved depends not only on the type of dye used and the compounds used as additives, but also on the method by which the printing inks are produced from the dye preparations and on the special printing methods. The main printing methods that can be used can be divided into two groups: 1.
Process, pre-reduced printing (known process), for example: 40 to 200 grams of dye in dough are mixed with 50 grams of glycerine, 315 to 350 grams of water, 25 to 50 grams of caustic soda (40 B6), 20 to 40 grams of soda calc. , 500 to 450 gr thickening, which contains in 1000 parts by weight:
EMI0002.0015
280 <SEP> parts by weight <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 100 <SEP> strength
<tb> 20 <SEP> benzylsulfanilic acid
<tb> sodium
<tb> 600 <SEP>,. <SEP> water, made into a paste and mixed with 40 to 90 grams of sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate and 10 to 40 grams of sodium hydrosulfite at 70 C. With this printing ink, textile products can be printed in the usual way, the prints, for example in the Mather-Platt, are dampened and developed and made ready as usual.
If the above printing inks contain reaction products of aromatic sulfochlorides with β-amino-anthraquinones or such reduction products of the reaction products which still contain oxygen in the ms position, stronger prints are obtained with better fixation than without these agents.
The process of pre-reduced printing is mainly used for dyes that are difficult to mix and for powder brands. However, there is an effort to replace this process in these cases with 2. the process not prereduced to print. The following example of a suitable printing ink is given for this: The printing ink is prepared from 10 to 20 grams of dye paste, 0 to 10 grams of water, 80 C ar thickening, which contains 1000 parts by weight:
EMI0002.0036
170 <SEP> parts by weight <SEP> load bearing <SEP> 65 <SEP>: <SEP> 1,000
<tb> 160 <SEP> industrial rubber <SEP> 1 <SEP>: <SEP> 1
<tb> 60 <SEP> wheat starch
<tb> 150 <SEP> water
<tb> 60 <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 100 <SEP> glycerine
<tb> 150 <SEP> potash
<tb> 150 <SEP> sodium formaldehyde sulf <SEP> oxylate. The textile products printed with such printing inks are also steamed, oxidized and made ready as usual for the development of the dye.
If the above printing inks contain, for example, 2.6 - di - p - toluene - sulfamido - anthraquinone, then according to this rule the prints are usually stronger and fix better than without this addition, and it is also possible to use dyes that were previously only after the 1st process gave satisfactory results, to be able to print according to the latter process.
This fact means a considerable technical progress, above all avoidance of caustic alkalis in the interest of protecting the fiber and longer durability and usability of the applied printing inks due to the lack of the easily decomposable hydrosulphite, which is completely replaced by sodium formaldehyde sulphoxylate, which first exerts the reducing effect at higher temperatures in the course of the printing process.
It should be expressly mentioned that although these two main groups of printing methods will in most cases be the ones to be used with success, modifications of these methods for printing with the present dye preparations can also be used without further ado.
The addition of reaction products of aromatic sulfochlorides with ss-amino anthraehinones can be followed at any stage of the production of the printing pastes, for example: a) The dye is as a water-containing press cake (12 to 40/00 'dye content) with glycerine or. mixed with another more valuable water-soluble alcohol, about 1; 2 "to '/." Parts (based on the pure dye) of the additive stirred.
The mixes can. if they contain more water than is desirable, they may be concentrated by evaporation.
This gives uniform, smooth pastes which do not dry up, do not form crusts, do not settle, do not freeze and can still be processed into high-quality printing inks even after a long time, especially if a preservative has been added to the pastes.
b) The dried dye is finely ground, intimately mixed with the likewise finely ground additive and a polyvalent, water-soluble alcohol, it being possible for a further addition of an emulsifying agent to be advantageous.
c) The dye is evaporated as largely as possible as a water-containing press cake or in the form of an aqueous paste in the presence of the new additive, such as a polyvalent water-soluble alcohol and optionally in the presence of dextrin or an emulsifying agent.
d) The dye is reduced in the presence of glycerol or other water-miscible polyhydric alcohols, for example thiodiglycol, thiodiglycerol and the like, with the new additives being added beforehand, at the same time or afterwards, with ammonia, soda, Potash or the like, hydrosulfite can be used as a reducing agent.
e) The direct addition of the named p-toluenesulfamidoanthraquinones respectively. Reduction products of the same to the printing color is able to reduce the printability of the latter. especially the fixation to improve wesent Lich.
For example: 72 gr of a thickening that contains in 1000 parts by weight:
EMI0003.0026
60 <SEP> parts by weight <SEP> wheat starch
<tb> 150 <SEP> water
<tb> 60 <SEP> Britishgum
<tb> 260 <SEP> industrial rubber <SEP> 1 <SEP>: <SEP> 1
<tb> <B> 1 </B> 70 <SEP> tragacanth <SEP> 65 <SEP>: 1000
<tb> 150 <SEP> potash
<tb> 150 <SEP> sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate are mixed with the aqueous dye paste and 7 grams of glycerine and 1 gram of 2-p-toluenesulfamido-anthraquinone (finely ground) to form a printing ink.
The latter prints much better than an ink that has been prepared with the same thickening and 8 grams of glycerine without 2-p-toluenesulfamido-anthraquinone.
In all the cases listed under a to e, dye preparations are obtained which either as such have technical advantages with regard to the paste form (.see for example the preparations according to a), or compared to the same preparations without the new additives, improved printability and fixative exhibit.
It should be expressly mentioned that the expression used in the claim: "dye preparations suitable for textile prints" should include all preparations mentioned under a to e and similar preparations that can be used for printing purposes and contain reaction products of aromatic sulfochlorides with ss -Amino-anthraquinones respectively. such reduction products which still contain oxygen in the ms position,
and a polyhydric water-soluble alcohol.
The printing methods to be expediently to be used have already been discussed above. The prints can be developed using customary methods, for example in the following way: After the printed goods have dried, dampening is done and the dye is washed with chromium potassium acetic acid (2 gr g2Cr20; 5 cmü acetic acid 30% in 1 liter water) and thoroughly Subsequent boiling soap developed.
<I> Example 1: </I> A printing ink of 6. 6'-diethoxy- 2. 2'-bisthionaphthenindigo, which was produced in the manner described under e, where the p-toluenesulfamido-anthraquinone is also replaced by 2.6-di -p-toluenesulfamido-anthraquinone can be replaced, provides significantly better fixing prints of greater strength than the corresponding process without the addition of the p-toluenesulfamido-anthraquinones mentioned.
Valuable printing preparations can also be produced from the above dye by the methods mentioned under a to <I> d </I>.
<I> Example 2: </I> The dye from Example 1 can be replaced by the dye from 6-methoxy-3-oxythionaphthene-I-4-methyl-6-bromo-2. 3 dihydro-3-ketothionaphthene-2. (p-, dimethyl-amino) -anil or by the garbazole from dibenzoyl- 5. 5'-diamino-1. 1'-dianthronylamine or by the one according to Example 1 of German Patent No.
218162 dye obtainable by brominating pyranthrone.
Other dyes of the indigoid and anthraquinoid series, as well as sulfur dyes, can also be used with advantage for the production of the present dye preparation. Instead of the p-toluenesulfami, do-anthraquinones, their salts can of course also be used.
