Device for debarking wood. The debarking of wood by rolling the wood on top of each other is known. One used for this purpose so far mostly rotating drums around their longitudinal axis, in which the pieces of wood lie lengthways and on top of each other when the drums rotate. unroll another. As a result, they are freed from the bark by mutual friction.
The drums are usually stored obliquely ge or provided with appropriate arrangements through which the timbers are slowly moved zii the discharge side opposite the entry face. One has already used a device with chains, bands or the like, which are suspended in the form of loops and in which the woods are inserted into the loop hollows. If necessary, the bands are connected by longitudinal bars, so that a rust-like band is created. This rust-like band is moved up and down, which has an effect similar to that achieved with the help of the drums.
There are also box-like devices are known in which the wood is introduced transversely to the longitudinal direction of the box and men with the help of protruding through the box bottom in the box Dau are moved. The woods are lifted by the thumbs, causing them to roll off one another. At the same time they roll forward in the box. They are held in their rolling forward movement by the front wall lying in the direction of the rolling movement, they pile up here and, depending on their accumulation, step over the edge of the front face onto a slide surface. One modification of the device is.
that the rolling forward movement of the wood is caused by undulating movements of the bottom of the box itself, which is divided for this purpose, instead of moving thumbs protruding into the box from below. The effect of the device modified in this way is the same as that operated by means of lifting thumbs.
It has been shown that the wood was not sufficiently debarked with the devices described; in particular, the bark stuck to the unevenness of the wood, for example to the knots and depressions. By the device according to the invention, the debarking of the woods zer is improved to a great extent and a He grasp of all places of the woods is guaranteed. It is also characterized by its simplicity. The pieces of wood are both unrolled on top of each other by the device and also forced to rub against each other along the length.
The device according to the invention comprises a container with a bottom of grate bars and a device for moving the grate bars in the vertical direction Rich and in the longitudinal direction against each other. Devices such as crank or eccentric drives or the like can be used to move the grate bars. The container is expediently formed as a channel. The grate bars then lie with their longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the gutter.
In order to promote the movement of the woods, the grate bars, the top of which is expediently roof-shaped, can have metal fittings provided with bumps. A water sprinkling device can be attached to the device, which is activated as required during debarking.
Between the grate bars, spaces of such width can be provided that the peeled bark can fall through these slits or can be drained away by sprinkling with water. The channel can be open on the entry side, or else be limited either by a special closure or by the grate bars themselves, which are then advantageously provided in this part with an upwardly sloping approach. The channel is expediently open on the discharge side.
However, in order not to move forward too quickly, it is advisable to design the grate bars to rise towards the discharge side. If the grate bar base has no or only a slight slope towards the discharge side, a damming device is expediently arranged at the discharge end of the channel, which can be in the form of a weir or a flap or the like. It is of course not necessary for the grate bars to be at the same angle. Rather, different angles of incline can be seen in one direction or the other, which are chosen depending on the type of wood to be debarked.
In any case, it is advisable to make a few preliminary tests to determine the best shape of the grate beam base. The device for moving the grate bar is arranged in front of geous such that it does not come into contact with the runoff sprinkling water, the peeled bark and the remaining waste during operation.
Based on the drawing Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject invention are explained in more detail.
Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the device in plan; In Fig. 2 the same device is shown in crack with the front side wall removed represents; Fig.3 is a plan view of an end face; 4 and 5, another embodiment of the device is shown in the same manner as in FIGS.
The rectangular container a consists of the two side walls g and g ,, which are made, for example, of wood, and the bottom, which is formed for example by three grate bars b. These beams are mounted to swing at one end by means of the swing arms; on the other hand they have arms la, which are articulated to the cranks of a crankshaft c. k is the drive of the crankshaft. The crank shaft c moves each grate bar b simultaneously in the longitudinal direction and in the vertical direction as it rotates. As a result of the crank offset, the individual grate bars also move against each other.
One end wall of the container a is formed by the bar lugs l which are firmly connected to the grate bars and which are approximately perpendicular to them. The other open end face is covered with a flap f which can be rotated about its upper edge. Showers e could also be arranged above the container.
If the grate floor of the container a filled with wood is set in motion by the crank drive k, c, h , the wood on the one hand perform a rolling movement. At the same time, however, they slide past one another and over one another. Most of the time, the forward movement of the pieces of wood will be such that the grate bars swinging back and forth will push them forward a little bit in the longitudinal direction and then push them back a little bit. All of these movements, taken together, result in careful debarking.
The device can be operated in batches, or wood can be continuously entered at the end of the container bounded by the approaches l and discharged under the flap f, which depending on its own weight or possibly an additional load, has a variable damming effect on this The end of the container. In the case of continuous operation, the grate bar floor may also act as a means of conveyance in conjunction with the approaches l and correspondingly rough fittings on the top of the individual grate bars.
The time during which the pieces of wood are treated in the device is adjustable on the one hand by the flap f, but on the other hand it can also be regulated by the slope that is given to the grate bar from the entry side to the discharge side. The size of the bevel of the bar attachments 1 also plays a certain role.
In the device according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the drive, which divides the required movement at one end of the grate bars, is so high above the grate bar that it is in front of the peeled bark from the sprinkling water flowing from the wood and the rest of the waste is completely protected. For example, the drive is arranged on a console, which is approximately at the level of the upper edge of the side walls g, gl . The crankshaft c is connected to the arms or webs 1a1, which are now in the extension upwards of the approximately vertical bar approaches 1, lie.
Otherwise, the device can be designed in the same way as the embodiment described earlier, and its operation can be designed in the same way.
