Storage of sewing machine bicycles. The previously common bearings of mower bicycles with disk drive pawls arranged on the outside have the disadvantage that the bearing surface of the wheel hub is subject to heavy wear as a result of lateral stress, which requires frequent repairs.
This disadvantage is eliminated by the present invention in that the wheel axis is extended beyond the pawl disk and on this extension carries a cover screwed to the wheel hub, which covers the pawl disk to the outside and at the same time serves as a bearing surface for the free end of the shaft extended to the outside by the bearing surface of the wheel and thereby the wear of the bearing surface of the wheel hub is reduced. This arrangement also has the. The advantage is that the ratchet disc and the wheel hub are sealed off from the outside in a dust-tight manner, which was not the case with the previously known positions. An embodiment of the subject invention illustrates the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through the bearing, and Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
In the drawing, 1 is the axis of the bicycles. On the axle 1 sits the wheel hub 2, within which the ratchet disk '3, which mediates the drive from it on the axle. is arranged. The latter is connected to the axle 1 in the usual manner by a pin 4. The axis 1 is extended beyond the outer side of the pawl disc and mounted with the extension in the cylindrical part 5 of a cover 6, which is connected to the hub 2, by screws 7 and completely covers the pawl disc 3 and the free end of the axle to the outside , whereby a dust-tight seal is formed.
However, the part 8 of the cover could also be omitted without the dust-tight closure of the hub 2 and the pawl disk 3 being impaired to the outside. The cover also has the advantage that if the pin 4 is loosened, it serves as a stop for the pin 4 and for it to fall out. prevented.
Because the axle 1 is mounted both in the hub 2 and in the cylindrical part 5 of the cover 6, wear on the bearing surface of the wheel hub is substantially reduced.
