L'invention a pour objet une montre de moche pouvant être posée en chevalet et qui se distingue par sa construction relativement simple et avantageuse eu égard aux montres connues du même genre, dont la montre proprement dite est renfermée dans un étui protecteur possédant un fermoir à secret dont le ressort de secret est logé dans la char nière reliant l'un à l'autre le fond et le cou vercle de l'étui.
La montre selon l'invention est caracté risée en ce que la montre proprement dite est fixée dans un cadre dont l'un des côtés est relié par articulation, au fond de l'étui, le fermoir à secret de l'étui comprenant un crochet d'enclenchement pivotant et son res sort de rappel montés sur l'axe de ladite articulation, ainsi qu'une targette destinée à actionner ledit crochet et montée sur le cou vercle de l'étui.
Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention. Les fig. 1 et 2 la représentent fermée, en élévation de côté respectivement en élévation de face; La fig. 3 en est une vue de face, le cou vercle de l'étui étant ouvert; La fig. 4 en est une vue en élévation de côté et partiellement en coupe, à plus grande échelle, le couvercle de l'étui étant ouvert comme en fig. 3 ; La fig. 5 est une vue en élévation de côté de la montre posée en chevalet.
La montre représentée comprend un étui protecteur de forme rectangulaire à angles arrondis, comportant un fond a et un cou vercle b reliés l'un à l'autre par une char nière c. Dans le fond ra est logée la montre proprement dite d fixée par sa boîte dans un cadre e dont l'un des petits côtés est relié par une articulation à charnière f, à l'extrémité antérieure du fond<I>a</I> de l'étui.
Le couvercle b joint, normalement, sur le fond a, comme représenté aux fig. 1 et 2 et, en traits mixtes, en fig. 4, de sorte que la montre proprement dite est renfermée, à l'abri de la poussière, de l'humidité et des chocs, dans l'étui protecteur. Le couvercle b est maintenu fermé, à l'encontre de l'action d'un ressort à torsion connu disposé dans la charnière c, par un fermoir à secret compre nant un crochet d'enclenchement pivotant g monté sur la broche de la charnière f et disposé dans une entaille i du cadre e.
Le bec du crochet g est maintenu engagé dans une encoche k du couvercle b, sous l'action d'un ressort à torsion m enroulé sur la broche de la charnière f et dont l'une des extré mités prend appui sur la face interne du fond a, tandis que l'autre extrémité agit sur un talon g' du crochet, talon qui s'appuie contre la face interne du cadre e.
Le crochet g peut pivoter à l'encontre de l'action de son ressort de rappel, pour se dégager de l'encoche k et libérer le couver cle b. A cet effet, il est commandé par une targette comprenant une plaque n destinée à être actionnée à la main, et une languette o dont l'extrémité libre est engagée dans une encoche p du crochet g. La plaque<I>n</I> dispo sée contre la face externe du couvercle b, et la languette o disposée contre la face interne de ce couvercle, sont assemblées l'une avec l'autre, au travers d'une ouverture r du cou vercle b, au moyen de vis t,
de manière à ce que la targette puisse effectuer sur le couvercle un mouvement de va-et-vient à frottement gras. On peut ouvrir et refermer la montre à l'aide d'une seule main, en se servant du pouce pour faire jouer le secret du fermoir. En effet, si l'on fait glisser la plaque n en arrière suivant la flèche en fig. 2, la-targette, qui occupait la position tracée en fig. 4, fera par sa languette o pivoter le crochet g à l'encontre du ressort de rappel m.
Dés lors, le couvercle de l'étui s'ouvre, sous l'action du ressort logé dans la charnière c, comme représenté en fig. 3, et laisse aper cevoir le cadran et les aiguilles de la montre. Pour fermer la montre, on referme d'abord le couvercle b, puis on repousse la plaque -a dans sa position initiale.
Pour poser la montre en chevalet, comme représenté. en fig. 5, on ouvre d'abord l'étui ; ensuite, on dégage du fond a la montre pro prement dite en faisant pivoter le cadre e autour de la charnière f ; enfin, l'on pose la montre en chevalet, en utilisant le cou vercle b comme socle et la languette o comme appui pour le cadre e. La couronne de remon toir u de la montre, logée dans une entaille<I>v</I> du cadre e, est facilement accessible et peut être actionnée aisément à la main.

The watch shown comprises a protective case of rectangular shape with rounded angles, comprising a bottom a and a cover b connected to each other by a hinge c. In the back ra is housed the actual watch d fixed by its case in a frame e, one of the small sides of which is connected by a hinged articulation f, at the front end of the back <I> a </I> from the case.
The cover b is normally attached to the bottom a, as shown in fig. 1 and 2 and, in phantom lines, in fig. 4, so that the actual watch is enclosed, protected from dust, humidity and shock, in the protective case. The cover b is kept closed, against the action of a known torsion spring arranged in the hinge c, by a secret clasp comprising a pivoting latching hook g mounted on the pin of the hinge f and arranged in a notch i of the frame e.
The beak of the hook g is kept engaged in a notch k of the cover b, under the action of a torsion spring m wound on the pin of the hinge f and one of the ends of which bears on the internal face of the bottom a, while the other end acts on a heel g 'of the hook, which heel rests against the internal face of the frame e.
The hook g can pivot against the action of its return spring, to disengage from the notch k and release the key cover b. To this end, it is controlled by a bolt comprising a plate n intended to be actuated by hand, and a tongue o whose free end is engaged in a notch p of the hook g. The plate <I> n </I> disposed against the external face of the cover b, and the tongue o disposed against the internal face of this cover, are assembled with one another, through an opening r cover b, using screws t,
so that the bolt can perform a back and forth movement on the cover with greasy friction. You can open and close the watch with just one hand, using your thumb to play the secret of the clasp. In fact, if the plate n is slid back along the arrow in fig. 2, the-bolt, which occupied the position traced in fig. 4, by its tongue o pivot the hook g against the return spring m.
From then on, the cover of the case opens, under the action of the spring housed in the hinge c, as shown in fig. 3, and lets see the dial and the hands of the watch. To close the watch, the cover b is first closed, then the plate -a is pushed back to its initial position.
To put the watch in an easel, as shown. in fig. 5, we first open the case; then, the back of the watch itself is released by causing the frame e to pivot around the hinge f; finally, the watch is placed in an easel, using the cover b as a base and the tongue o as a support for the frame e. The watch's winding crown u, housed in a <I> v </I> notch in the frame e, is easily accessible and can be operated easily by hand.
