Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung von     1.2.5.6-Di-          phtaloylnaphtalin,    dadurch gekennzeichnet,       dass    man<B>1.</B>     5-Dibenzoylnaphtalin-2.6-diearbon-          säurechlorid    bis zum Nachlassen der     Salzsäure-          entwicklung    auf zirka 330-3400<B>0</B> erhitzt.

    <I>Beispiel:</I>       1.5-Dibenzoylnaphtalin-2.6-dicarbonsäure-          chlorid    wird bis zum Nachlassen der     Salz-          säureentwicklung    auf zirka     330-340        C    er  hitzt. Die erhaltene gelbe Schmelze ist rohes       1.2.5.6-Diphtaloylnaphtalin,    das sich durch         Umkristallisieren    aus organischen Mitteln in  reiner Form erhalten     lässt.
