<I>Beispiele:</I> 1.
Process for the production of pure hydrogen peroxide. The invention relates to a process for the production of pure hydrogen super oxide.
It has already been proposed that dilute solutions of hydrogen peroxide, obtained by decomposing barium superoxide with sulfuric acid, be concentrated by subjecting them to fractional distillation in a vacuum. Since you get a concentrated hydrogen peroxide, which is not completely pure and mainly contains chlorides as an impurity.
Likewise, in the production of hydrogen peroxide by distillation of starting materials which, like supersulfuric acid, acidic potassium or ammonium persulphate solutions, contain not only hydrogen peroxide and water but also other, mainly inorganic components, never pure hydrogen peroxide or hydrogen peroxide solution, because apart from hydrogen peroxide and water the distillation always small amounts of the others

Inorganic <SEP> components <SEP> of the <SEP> starting material <SEP> as <SEP> impurities <SEP> with <SEP>.
<tb> Es <SEP> <SEP> was now <SEP> found,
<SEP> that <SEP> man <SEP> with <SEP> the
<tb> Fractional <SEP> vacuum distillation <SEP> from <SEP> starting materials <SEP> of any <SEP> type <SEP> for <SEP> the <SEP> extraction <SEP> of <SEP> hydrogen peroxide, <SEP> the
<tb> except <SEP> the <SEP> hydrogen peroxide <SEP> and <SEP> water <SEP> nor <SEP> others, <SEP> mainly <SEP> inorganic ones
<tb> Components, <SEP> itself <SEP> in <SEP> small <SEP> quantities, <SEP> contain, <SEP> in <SEP> all <SEP> cases <SEP> then <SEP> pure <SEP > Hydrogen superoxide <SEP> receives, <SEP> if <SEP> the <SEP> generated by <SEP> distillation <SEP> <SEP> vapor mixtures <SEP> of
<tb> hydrogen peroxide <SEP> and <SEP> water <SEP> before <SEP> the
<tb> Condensation <SEP> from <SEP> mist- <SEP> or <SEP> droplet-shaped <SEP> components <SEP> are freed <SEP>.
<SEP> The <SEP> invention <SEP> consists <SEP> therefore <SEP>, <SEP> the <SEP> with <SEP> the

<tb> Free <SEP> components to <SEP>.
<SEP> For <SEP> this <SEP> purpose, the vapor mixtures can be introduced into a space before they get into the condensation system, which is dimensioned so large that the dropping and droplets are separated out by the reduction in the speed of movement of the vapor mixture respectively or mist-like constituents of the vapor mixture takes place. But you can also let the vapors go through a layer of fine-grained, hydrogen peroxide non-decomposing substances, for example ceramic packing elements, such as Raschig rings, before they are fed to the condensation system.
Finally, the vapor mixtures of hydrogen superoxide and water can also be freed of mist- or droplet-shaped constituents by subjecting them to an electrostatic treatment, for example in a Cottrel system.
In all cases a completely pure hydrogen peroxide is obtained from the vapor mixture after the removal of the mist-like or drop-like constituents, which meets all the requirements that can be made of chemically pure hydrogen peroxide.
When removing the nebulous and bezw. or drop-shaped constituents from the vapor mixture of hydrogen superoxide and water, a precipitate or a condensate is obtained which contains hydrogen superoxide. In order to recover this hydrogen peroxide in its pure form, it is fed back into the evaporation plant for fresh raw material for the production of hydrogen peroxide.
If the device for defogging or removing the droplets from the vapor mixture is placed directly above the evaporation system for the starting material, the precipitated components flow back into the evaporation system together with the precipitated hydrogen peroxide and are immediately processed further automatically.
A suitable system for. Execution of this last-described mode of operation is shown schematically as an exemplary embodiment in the attached drawing.
a is the evaporator for the starting material to be distilled, which is provided with a jacket b, which is supplied with steam at b, while the condensation water is discharged from the jacket at b2. The liquid starting material for the production of hydrogen peroxide is supplied to the evaporator a through a nozzle c.
The vapor mixture generated in the evaporator a passes in this way to the fractionating column, which is not shown in the drawing, a layer d of Raschig rings, which is arranged in the upper part of the evaporator a.
e is a line that feeds the vapor mixture, which has been de-misted and freed from drops, to the fractionation column for the fractional condensation of the mixture of hydrogen peroxide vapor and water vapor. <B> All. </B> @jorriehtungen from the evaporator to the fractionation column are through the usual, in Devices, not shown in the drawing, kept under reduced pressure.
<I> Examples: </I> 1. A dilute hydrogen peroxide solution obtained by decomposing Ba.rium superoxide with aqueous sulfuric acid is distilled under reduced pressure in the device shown in the drawing. The concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution obtained in this way contains <B> 3 </B> 0% hydrogen peroxide; it is pure, for example does not contain any sodium chloride.
If you work with the same device, but without the layer of Ra, Schigring, you get a concentrated hydrogen peroxide with 0.1% sodium chloride.
2. Supersulphuric acid is evaporated when the air pressure is reduced. The resulting vapor mixture is passed through a layer of Raschig rings before condensation. The concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution obtained does not contain any sulfuric acid. Acid ammonium or potassium imper sulfate solution is evaporated under reduced air pressure. The vapor mixture obtained is subjected to electrostatic treatment in a Cottrel apparatus before it is condensed. The concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution obtained is free of inorganic salts or acids.
