Description

Process for the production of a wetting, emulsifying, leveling, disglomerating and washing agent. It has been found that wetting agents, emulsifying agents, leveling agents, disglomerating agents and detergents are obtained if aliphatic, aliphatic-aromatic or hydroaromatic amino or iniinosulphonic acids or their salts with the higher molecular weight fatty acid chlorides in the presence of acid-binding substances,
such as pyridine, dimethylaniline, calcium carbonate and other compounds, the use of solvents may be useful. As a solvent, if tertiary bases are chosen as acid binders, they can be used themselves, in that they are used in excess, or liquids which are miscible with these bases, such as benzene, gasoline, ethylene chloride, water, etc., are used.
If inorganic acid binders such as calcium carbonate etc. are added, water is the preferred solvent. In the latter case, it can be particularly advantageous to use only so little water that the end product can be sold directly in a salable concentration, e.g. B. is obtained in the form of a 60 to 90 o / o paste, in the manufacture of which one expediently excludes any heating above room temperature in order to get lighter colored products and not have to fear side reactions.
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a wetting, emulsifying, leveling, disglomerating and washing by means of the following constitution
EMI0001.0032
characterized in that sodium pherryliminoethanesulfonic acid is allowed to act on oleic acid chloride in the presence of an acid-binding agent and, if appropriate, in the presence of a solvent, such as, for example, water. The substitution product is a lightly colored powder and has high resistance to the hardness constituents of water and an excellent washing ability.
Example: In 200 parts by weight of water, 293 parts by weight of dry, powdered, saline (76% of active substance) plrenylitrtirroethanesulfonic acid and 53 parts by weight of sodium carbonate and 270 parts by weight of oleic acid chloride are added simultaneously within 3 hours 0-5o C and stir for a few more hours at 10-20 ° C until the reaction and gas formation are complete, which can be seen, among other things, from the clear solubility of the reaction product in water and insensitivity to the addition of hydrochloric acid.
The conversion product obtained is a particularly light-colored approximately 74% paste, which is therefore directly marketable, but which can also be processed by evaporation onto a powder. The reaction product is a weakly colored powder and has a light resistance to the hardness components of the water and an excellent detergency. The yield is 790 parts by weight.
