Description
Process for the production of suffonates is the subject of patent 895 598 is a process for the preparation of sulfonates which consists in that one Sultones with the hydrocarbon compounds of metals of the z., 2nd or 3rd group of the periodic system; the products obtained are more organic than salts Sulphonic acids are usually easily soluble in water.
It has now been found, surprisingly, that such salts, constitutionally similar to the sulfonates obtainable by the process of the main patent, in particular can be produced easily and in excellent yields, if one such organic compounds that result in metal compounds of hydrocarbons can be transformed, in the presence of a suitable metal, with sultones, if appropriate in the presence of a suitable inert solvent or diluent for the reaction brings. As starting materials to supply the metal compounds of hydrocarbons are able to come not only suitable hydrocarbons, but also halogenated hydrocarbons into consideration. Particularly suitable metals are those of the first three groups of Periodic Table.
The sulfonates obtained according to the process are said to be like those of the main patent as cleaning, wetting and textile auxiliaries, as pharmaceutical products as serve as precursors and intermediates for further reactions.
Examples 1. 16.6 parts of fluorene are such with 13.5 parts of the sultone Oxybutansulfonsäure (as obtained according to Example I of the patent 887 34 and 2.3 parts finely divided sodium are added;. In a nitrogen atmosphere is warmed with stirring to 2oo ° After this time the sodium has disappeared. The reaction product is allowed to cool and washed with a suitable organic solvent, for example ether, to remove small amounts of unreacted fluorene according to example i or 2 of the main patent 895 598 available is identical.
Man erhält 6,3 Teile eines in Wasser leicht löslichen Salzes von wahrscheinlich folgender Konstitution: Auf Grund seiner kapillaraktiven Eigenschaften kann das Sulfonat als Netzmittel Verwendung finden.2. 3.5 parts of benzyl chloride, 3.4 parts of oxytutanesulfonic acid and 1.15 parts of sodium in 40 parts of xylene are heated to the boil with stirring. After about 3 hours the sodium is completely consumed and the reaction product has separated out as a pale yellowish precipitate. It is suctioned off, washed with ether and dried. 6.3 parts of a salt which is readily soluble in water and probably of the following constitution are obtained: Due to its capillary-active properties, the sulfonate can be used as a wetting agent.
If one takes the corresponding oxybutanesulphonic acid instead of the sultone Amounts of other sultones, e.g. B. of the sultone of oxyisopentanesulfonic acid (e.g. obtained according to example 4 of patent 887 341), one obtains in an analogous manner accordingly compound sulfonates with similar properties.
Das Sulfonat der wahrscheinlichen Zusammensetzung löst sich leicht in Wasser, die wäßrige Lösung zeigt gute Netz- und Schaumwirkung; auf Grund dieser Eigenschaften kann es als Netz- oder Reinigungsmittel Verwendung finden.3. 2.8 parts of chlorobenzene are heated to boiling with 3.4 parts of the sultone of oxybutanesulfonic acid in the presence of 1.15 parts of sodium in 40 parts of xylene for g hours with stirring. It is then allowed to cool and the precipitate formed of the reaction product is filtered off with suction, washed with ether and dried. The sulfonate of the likely composition dissolves easily in water, the aqueous solution shows good wetting and foaming action; Due to these properties, it can be used as a wetting agent or cleaning agent.
Man arbeitet wie bei Beispie13 beschrieben auf und erhält 7,7 Teile eines Sulfonats von den gleichen Eigenschaften, wie sie das nach Beispiel3 erhaltene Produkt besitzt.4- 3.9 parts of bromobenzene are mixed with 3.4 parts of the sultone of oxybutanesulfonic acid heated to boiling in the presence of 1.15 parts of sodium in 40 parts of xylene for 5 hours. After this time, the sodium is completely converted. You work as in Example13 and contains 7.7 parts of a sulfonate of the same properties, as it has the product obtained according to Example 3.
5.6,4 Teile g-Bromphenanthrenwerdenmit3,4Teilen des Sultons der Oxybutansulfonsäure und 2 Teilen Kalium in 4o Teilen Xylol 6 Stunden unter Rühren zum Sieden erhitzt.
