Method and masehine for filling valve surfaces with powdered material in weighed quantities. The previously known methods of packing powdery material, such as cement or the like, in valve sacks and weighing them at the same time, suffer more or less from the inconvenience (do not let the sack completely filled because the contents are fill in the sack with some air mixing.
Dicy applies in particular to packing machines in whose filling containers the cement or other filling material is brought into a flowable state by adding a certain amount of air, so that the material moves like a liquid and is only uninterrupted under the influence of gravity In other types of packing machines, for example those in which the material is conveyed through the filling roller by means of a wing mechanism or a high-speed screw, the cement also leaches some air into the sack .
Attempts have been made to overcome this difficulty by giving the valve opening a shape that facilitates the escape of air from the sack, and also by knocking the sack from the outside during the filling process whereby the removal of air from the pores of the material is also promoted. In order to increase the accuracy of the weighing, the inflow speed was reduced towards the end of the filling period. Despite these various precautionary measures, the filling has never been entirely satisfactory.
The purpose of the present invention is to increase the degree of filling in the cases in which the filling material is supplied to the sacks in the air-mixed state mentioned. According to the present method, this is achieved in that the inflow to the sack is interrupted once or several times in order in this way to give the air the opportunity to escape from the material. The filling material is not fed into the sack continuously, but periodically, which means that there is a corresponding increase in the filling time.
However, in practice it has been shown that the degree of filling can be increased so much in the specified manner that even the savings in sack material exceeds the costs which result from the increase in the filling time.
The extension of the filling time can, however, be reduced somewhat by using the known artifacts mentioned for removing air from the material filled into the bags in the new process. Good ventilation at the valve opening of the sack shortens the period of time during which filling has to be interrupted in order to allow the air to escape from the material in the sack. Increased ventilation can partly be achieved by vigorously sucking out the air at the valve opening, and partly by making ample openings for air to escape at the top of the sack.
The filling time can also be shortened by the known knocking on the outside of the sack both during the supply of filling material and during the periodic interruption times for filling.
The machine for executing the process is illustrated in .einem embodiment on the accompanying drawing in pages looks.
The drawn machine has a filling container 1, which rests on supports 2 and from which the filling material is removed through bottom openings in a uniform stream by means of a stationary tube 3 'and a filling tube 3 "which is movable in all directions and which is connected to the stationary tube 3 'is connected, the sack is attached to the movable tube 3 ". The connection between the two pipe sections 3 'and 3 "is movable and can be telescopic or formed by a membrane, or 3' can also protrude freely into 3".
By means of the inclined up device 3 "'the filling pipe 3" is divided into an upper and a lower part, each of which by an arm 5 respectively. 8, which sit on a rod 6 belonging to the weighing mechanism. The arm 8 is rotatable about a pin 7 of the rod 6 bar, but is held during the filling of a bag in the dargestell th position on the drawing by a one-armed lever 9, which is on the rod 6 at 10 rotatable bar and by means of a nose 9 'behind a hook 8' of part 8 ver mag.
The free end of the lever 9 is equipped with a guide roller 9 ″.
The upper end of the rod 6 is suspended from one end of the two-armed lever 11, the other end of which carries a rod 12 which is located on the other side of the container 1 and to which weights 13 are attached, which counterbalance the completely filled sack able to hold. The rods 6 and 12 are laterally guided through consoles 14, 15 which are attached to the sides of the container 1. These consoles also serve to limit the movement of the rods 6 and 12 when the filled sack is removed.
Each of the consoles is or with a stop piece 16 '. 17 ', which are arranged on opposite sides of the consoles and to which stops 16 ″ and 17 ″ on rods 6 and 12 are assigned.
The outlet pipe 3 'of the filling container 1 is equipped with a material slide, which is controlled from the outside by means of a lever mechanism in such a way that the slide is usually kept open by the mechanism, but is closed when the mechanism is released, which happens automatically in that the rod 6 moves downwards as a result of the Um <I> s </I> 'purple "<B><I>c</I> </B> gene of the balance beam 11. The mechanism, which is used to solve is only partially shown in the drawing.
Thereafter, the same consists of an angle lever 18 ', 18 "which is rotatably mounted at 19 on the container 1 and the slide by means of its vertical arm 18" is actuated, while on the hori zontalen arm 18' a guide roller 20 is seen in front of which below the influence of one: mechanism stands which will later be clarified in more detail. The release mechanism for the lever 18 ', 18 "can be formed, for example, by a latching device which is able to hold the lever in its position as long as the rod is in its upper position, but which releases the lever, as soon as the rod 6 moves downwards.
The rod 6 is equipped with a compression spring 21 or some other device which is able to exert a pressure where the lower end of the spring 21 lies against a shoulder 21 'on the rod 6, while the upper end of the spring is one end a two-armed lever 22 is based.
The other end of this lever carries a guide roller 23 and the lever itself is mounted at 2-1 on a fixed arm 25 which protrudes from the side surface of the container 1. The strength of the spring 21 is regulated so that it corresponds to that weight of the sack 4, when it is reached, the further flow of material to the sack is to be temporarily interrupted so that the air can escape. This weight could, for example, be 10 kg less than the weight that the fully filled sack should have.
The levers 9, 18 'and 22 are monitored by a continuously rotating device, as shown on the right-hand side of the drawing. This device has a vertical shaft 26 which rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow 29. and is driven by a shaft 28 by means of the bevel gears <B> '27' </B> and 27 ". The shaft 26 carries three cam disks at three different points, one of which is one of the levers 18 ', 22 and 9 assigned.
These discs are with 30, 31 respectively. 32 designated. The disc 30 is provided with a cam 30 'which extends upwards. step forward while the cam disc 31 two cams 31 'respectively. 31 ″, which also project upwards, and the third disk 32 is provided with a cam 32 'of considerable length.
The mechanism works in the following way, assuming that in the position of the machine parts shown in the drawing, an empty sack has just been attached to the filling pipe 3 ″.
Right now has. the cam 31 'on the disk 3.1 just reached the guide roller 20 and therefore lifts the lever 18', whereby the slide in the outflow tube 3 'opened and then through the above-mentioned, not shown in the drawing set trigger device is held in the open position, which may for example consist of a latch mechanism.
At the same time, the upwardly loading part of the cam disk 3 2 passes under the guide roller 23, whereby the end of the lever 22 resting on the disk is lifted so that the other end of the lever compresses the spring 21, where by on the rod 6 downward pressure corresponding to the Fe of the transmitted tension is applied.
This additional load de: Linkage member 6 brings the balance beam at a point in time at which the bag 4 is still missing a certain part of the filling written before, and when this occurs, the lever 18 'is released by its trigger mechanism and the slide of the Filling pipe 3 'is in the closed position, so that the flow of goods is interrupted. After a certain time, during which no material flows into the sack, the low-lying section of the cam disk 32 passes under the guide roller 23.
As a result, this guide roller is given the opportunity to return to its lower position, so that the downward pressure of the lever 22 on the weighing rod stops. In the meantime, the air in the sack was given the opportunity to escape from the filling in the sack. At the end of this venting period, the cam 31 "of the cam disc 31 comes under the guide roller 20 and lifts the lever 18 'again, so that the slide of the filling pipe 3' is reopened and the flow of goods into the sack begins again.
As soon as the sack weight has risen to the prescribed level due to the newly flowing material, the weighing rod is actuated again, which has the consequence; that the filling pipe slide is closed again. When this occurs, the filled sack is automatically removed by the fact that the cam 30 'of the cam disk 30 pushes under the roller 9 ", whereby the lever 9 is lifted. Here the nose 9' releases the angle lever 8 '.
Since the center of gravity of the filling pipe section 3 "with the bag 4 suspended at point 7 is to the right of the pivot point 7, the filling pipe section with the bag around the pivot point 7 moves to the left as a result of the heavyweight as soon as the angle lever 8 'passes through the nose 9 The filling pipe section 3 "with the sack hanging on it executes an oscillating movement around point 7 after it has been released, whereby the sack slides off the end of the filling pipe section.
The compression spring 21 could also be replaced by a movable weight, which is guided on the lever 22 and is arranged so that we can exert pressure on the attachment 21 'when the weighing rod is used to temporarily interrupt the inflow of material for ventilation of the sack. should.
In the above it has been assumed that the flow of material is interrupted once during the bag filling period. However, there is also the possibility of designing the mechanism by appropriately deviating the design of the cam discs so that the influx of goods can be interrupted more than once during a bag filling period.
The bag filling and weighing machine described above is equipped with a fixed filling container. However, the invention is not limited to such machines be, but can also be used in rotating the packing machines, that is, in machines that are equipped with a rotating ble filling container, which has a plurality of filling tubes arranged in circles around the axis of rotation of the filling container. The only change in the structural aids, which is required in this case, is that instead of the cam disks 30, 31 and 32 on a rotating shaft, fixed rails are provided coaxially to the axis of rotation of the filling container.
Instead of the purely mechanically acting devices for the temporary interruption of the flow of filling material to the bag to be filled, as provided in the illustrative embodiment shown, devices of another type can also be provided, for example an electrical or .electromagnetic device with their associated, suitably formed controller.
