Sports equipment. The subject matter of the present invention is a piece of sports equipment with two running wheels and a standing surface arranged between them with a device for attachment to the foot. The standing surface of this sports device sits tiltable in a frame and the wheels are mounted on this in such a way that the center of gravity of the device is below the wheel axles and close to the ground. At least one of the running wheels is equipped with a braking device.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is illustrated in one embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a side view; FIGS. 2 and 3 show a view of the rear part and FIG. a plan view of the same on a larger scale.
1 with the stand made of wood or metal is referred to, which is provided with a not shown fastening device known .Ausführung for fastening the device to the foot. This stand area 1, which is provided at both ends with a recess for receiving the running wheels 2, 3, is inserted into a frame consisting of two frame parts 4 made of sheet metal that run along the longitudinal oiten of the stand area 1 , d: e are connected to one another by a wire 5 reaching around the device.
These lateral frame parts 4 are designed in such a way that they enclose the wire 5 in their lower parts. They are also to increase the stability of the Rah mens by spacers 17, as indicated in Fig. 1, interconnected. These spacers 17 are arranged under the base 1 and serve at the same time as a support for the same.
On both sides of the base 1 are then the frame parts 4 on the wires 5 sheet metal strips 7, which have a hole in their upper ends to take on the axes 6 of the wheels 2, 3 on. These sheet metal strips 7, which are used to assemble and dismantle the wheels laterally on BEZW. can be folded down are held on the axles 6 by locking nuts 8.
This positioning of the axles above the standing surface ensures that the center of gravity of the device is below the wheel axles and close to the floor and the risk of tipping over when using the device is greatly reduced.
Each of the two running wheels 2, 3 is provided with a finite bush 9. Between the Buch sen 9 and the axles 6, the bearings not shown in the drawing be of known design are arranged so that the wheels can turn easily. The socket 9 of the rear wheel 3 is ver extended beyond its at 1e lateral boundary surfaces for the purpose of attaching a braking device.
Each of these braking devices consists of a steel wire 10, which is wrapped several times around the socket extension in such a way that due to the friction that occurs when the device moves in the viewing direction, a slight loosening of the wire windings takes place, but this wire is more tightly around the socket extension if the wheel should be given a @ m turn in the opposite direction.
The end of the brake wire 10 which is directed against the front wheel 2 is attached to the base 1 by means of a screw 12, while the end to lie to the rear end of the device is bent into a hook 10 '. The end of a wire 11, which is also bent over to form a hook, engages in this hook 10 ', which wire is passed through an opening in the standing surface 1 and is fastened to the underside of the latter by means of a screw 13. The working connection between these two hooks is chosen so that the aforementioned loosening of the Bremsdrah tes 10 can take place without resistance when using the sports equipment. The braking turns of the wire 10 are covered by means of a sleeve 14, which is pressed by means of a slightly curved cover 15 to the wheel.
The latter itself is held in place on the axle 6 by a nut 116. This training ensures that the complete wheel after loosening the lock nuts 8 and the fastening screws ben 12 can be removed without further parts having to be dismantled.
The standing surface 1 pushed into the frame rests on the spacer pieces 17. The rearmost spacer, which is located behind the front part of the foot but in front of the heel, is fastened by means of a clamp 1.8 on the underside of the stand area 1 and thus holds the latter firmly in the frame.
This spacer also forms the axis around which the tilting movement of the standing surface is carried out. This tilting movement is triggered when the tip of the foot is lifted or the weight of the body is placed on the heel. As a result, the rear part of the standing surface is moved downwards, and by means of the wire 11, the brake wire 10 is tensioned in the sense of its winding and thereby exerts the desired braking effect on the socket extension of the wheel. This braking effect can be regulated at will.
A brake device consisting of a brake wire alone can also be provided on the front wheel 2 in order to be able to prevent reverse movement of the device in this case as well. Instead of the brake wire 10, a brake band can also be used.
Since the braking device described automatically prevents the device from sliding backwards, inclines up to a certain degree can also be overcome with the same.
The sports equipment described can be designed as a roller skate with a relatively small footprint or as a roller ski, that is to say with a relatively long footprint. The wheels can, as indicated in Fig. 2, be provided with a tire made of an elastic material such as rubber, which dampens the shocks and vibrations caused by the unevenness of the sliding surface.
