Description
Rollenlager.
Diese Nachteile werden der Erfindung gemäss dadurch vermieden, dass man zur Herstellung der Rollen und Ringe von Rollenlagern Chromstahl verwendet, dem mehr als 1% Nickel zugesetzt ist. Die Züz- sammensetzung dieses Chromstahls kann sich etwa in folgenden Grenzen bewegen;
Roller bearings. So far, rollers and rings made of high-carbon chrome steel or a case-hardened steel have been used to manufacture roller bearings. The core of the rollers and rings made of case-hardened steel consistently have a carbon content of about 0.15 to 0.2 01/0. Due to their low core strength, they can only withstand low pressures. The chrome steel rollers and earring steel rings have the disadvantage that the outer layer often tends to flake or peel off.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided by using chromium steel to which more than 1% nickel is added to manufacture the rollers and rings of roller bearings. The additional composition of this chrome steel can move approximately within the following limits;
0.45 to 1.2% C, 0.5 to 2 "/ o Cr, 1 to 5% Ni. Very good results have been achieved, for example, when using steels containing 0.75% C, 1,
Contains 5% Cr and 2% Ni or 0.5% C, 1.3% Cr, 4.5% Ni, 0.9% W and 0.1% Va.
In order to increase the wear resistance of the rings and rollers, they can be hardened in use. These rollers and rings have the advantage over the case-hardened ones previously used that, due to their high core strength, they withstand high pressures and do not tend to burst.
The essence of the invention is not changed by the addition of customary alloy components that improve strength.
