Description

Process for the preparation of 3,9-diaminoaeridine acetate. In the main patent, a process for the preparation of 7-ethoxy-3,9-diaminoacridine monoacetates, which is readily soluble in water, was described.

It has now been found that the monoacetate of 3,9-diaminoacridine is also characterized by high solubility.

Example: 4 2 g of 3,9-diaminoaeridine are dissolved in 170 cm 'of water and 12 g of warm glacial acetic acid and the yellow monoacetate is separated out of the cooled filtrate with acetone, which is well soluble in water. The salt is yellow in color and Easily soluble in water and has valuable antiseptic properties.
