Nagel.
Fig. 1).
Nail. The previous nails consisted of a headed pin. It can only be driven in up to the head, although in many cases it is desirable to sink it. However, you can get the countersinking by placing a stop bolt on the head; however, the wood is usually damaged by sliding off and the hammering itself is made more difficult. The nails are often loosened, especially during transport, because the: small ribs on the nail:; near the head are not effective enough.
The present invention now provides a nail by means of which these disadvantages are to be eliminated. According to the invention, the upwardly widened head of the nail is provided with a recess which extends approximately or entirely to the same height.
The subject of the invention is shown in several exemplary embodiments in the accompanying drawing, and it shows: FIG. 1 a sectional view of an exemplary embodiment, FIG. 2 a plan view of this, and FIG FIG. 4 is a section of a second exemplary embodiment, and FIG. 5 is a plan view thereof, FIG. 6 is a section through a third exemplary embodiment, and FIG. 7 is a plan view thereof, FIG. 8 is a section of a fourth exemplary embodiment,
and FIG. 9 shows a plan view of this, FIG. 10 shows a section of a fifth exemplary embodiment, and FIG. 11 shows a plan view of this, FIG. 12 shows a section of a sixth exemplary embodiment, and FIG. 13 shows a plan view of this.
According to FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 denotes the nail pin provided with a tip 2 and head 3 in a known manner. The Hopf has an axially directed recess 4. The recess, which extends approximately to the level of the head, is frustoconical and the tapered end is inside. .If the nail is hammered in, so that the head is flush with the piece of wood 5,
Thus, a firing pin 6 is inserted into the recess 4 and driven inwards so that the head assumes a recessed position with respect to the piece of wood (see FIG. 1). If the leading end of the firing pin 6 '(Fig. 3) is wider than, for example, the middle ZVeite of the recess 4, although advantageously round or tapering, and if you hit it with a hammer, the head is driven apart a little,
and the peripheral edge 7 of the head engages the piece of wood 5. A nail driven in this way ensures a secure hold, and it is normally prevented from loosening and falling out of the same.
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the recess 4, which extends entirely to the height of the head, can also be triangular in plan, that is to say, the recess can be formed from an angular shape and down or down. inside, tapering to a point.
If the recess 4 is conical, as can be seen from FIGS. 6 and 7, the bottom thereof can be designed to be arched.
The recess 4 can also be angular, cross-shaped when viewed in plan, as can be seen from FIGS. 8 and 9. The same again tapers inwards.
According to FIGS. 10 to 11, the conical recess 4 is made in the head part of a so-called headless (weak head) nail pin. As can be seen from FIGS. 1L) and 13. the recess 4 can also be designed so that it widens inwards.
The manufacturing costs of the nails described should be none or none, significantly higher, in that the recess extending approximately or completely to the height of the head extended upwards can be produced directly with the pressing process of the head.
