Pull-down winding and time-setting mechanism. The invention relates to a winding mechanism and, for setting the time with a pull tab clans pocket watches, wristwatches and very small caliber timepieces.
This mechanism is constructed so that the winding crown is at least partially hidden in the middle part of the watch case, as long as the mechanism is not in use, and can be released from its housing, if one wish to wind the motor spring or set the clock hands.
To this end, the winding stem is hand held when it is pushed fully, by a stopper preventing the stem from moving axially under the action of a return spring. urging it constantly, said stopping or gane being able to be controlled so that the rod is released and moves axia.lement under the action of its return spring.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a form of execution of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 shows a section along the winding stem, while La.- fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1.
In the drawing, the frame of the movement can be distinguished comprising a plate 1, a stem 2 and a bridge 3, assembled with each other. The winding stem 4 is mounted on the frame, passes through a bore 5 of the caseband 6 of the case and carries, on the outside, the winding crown 9. The latter being pushed in fully, is partially engaged in a core 7 of the. because rure, so that it is very little protruding on the perimeter of the 'box.
The rod 4, as usual controls the sliding pinion 8 engaged on a -square of the rod. The sliding pinion is meshed with the winding pinion 10, but it can be brought into mesh with the time-setting return 11, using the.
winding rod 4 and by means of a usual spindle mechanism comprising the lever 12 engaged in the groove of the sliding pinion and the pull-tab 13 whose stud 14 is engaged in a groove 15 of the sliding pinion. winder .. However, the groove 15 is relatively wide, so that the rod 4 has a certain axial play with respect to the stud 14 of the pull tab.
-On the rod 4 is mounted, between the stem 2 and the crown 9. a coil spring 16 ground allowing the rod to move axially -from bottom to top. This upward axial movement of the rod is prevented by a latch 17 which is pivotally mounted, by means of a screw with span 18, on the frame - and maintains the rod by one - of its extending arms. behind a door 19 of the rod. A flat spring 20, fixed to the frame by a screw 21, ensures the latching position of the latch 17. The other arm of the latch 17 is placed opposite a pusher 22 mounted in the middle part 6.
This pusher can be actuated from the outside @de the watch and act, by a conical head, on the latch 17, so that the latter pivots at 18, against the return spring 20 and delivers passage to the winding stem 4 which then performs an upward axial movement limited by the stud 14. of the pull tab 13. The result is that the crown 9 clearly emerges from the middle part 6 and can be easily grasped by the hand for operations of the winding @ of the motor spring and - of the time setting of the hands.
To engage the time-setting mechanism, we proceed as usual, starting from this position, that is to say, pulling on the winding stem.
After having carried out the required operations, the rod 4 is pushed back fully, which returns the members of the mechanism to their respective initial positions, the latch 17 being constrained by the return spring 2i0 to be: e back out behind the bearing surface 19 of the rebound rod.
