Winding timepiece. The invention relates to a winding timepiece which comprises, according to the claim of the main patent, at least one rack intended to engage with a toothing of the winding stem and to impart to the latter a rotational movement. on itself, said crankshaft being controlled by a back and forth movement member of the case closing the clockwork movement, so that the rack is released from - the teeth of the winding stem, towards the limit of its stroke, when the control member moves in a direction of its reciprocating motion.
The object of the invention is characterized in that it forms a clock and that its case comprises two elements adjusted and movable one inside the other, one of these elements closing a watch movement, the or ganes indicators and the winding stem with a pinion and a crown, while the other element constitutes the base of the pen dulette and comprises the rack which normally engages in the pinion of the winding stem, this pinion being rotated tion when the two mentioned elements of the box are moved one in the other.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is shown in front elevation, part of the box being shown in section; FIG. 2 is another view thereof in front elevation; the element which contains the movement occupying a different position; Fig. â is a partial section, on a larger scale, along line III-III of FIG. 1.
The embodiment shown is a clock watch whose box com takes two elements 1, 2 adjusted and movable one within the other.
To this end, the element 1, which constitutes the base of the clock, has the shape of a [1, the rising branches of which each have a slide 4. In these slides of the base is adjusted and movable the element 2, of rectangular shape of the case, element which comprises a handle 2 'and encloses the movement of a winding watch, the stem 7 of which carries a crown 8 and a fixed pinion 9. On the winding stem 7 are engaged, on each side of the pinion 9, two washers 10.
The crown wheel 8 and the pinion 9 are secured and guided normally in a recess 12 made in the element 1 of the box, the pinion 9 meshing with a mesh 11 fixed in a dovetail slide of the element 1 of 2a box. The pin 9 is on the other hand guided in a groove 18 formed by a strip 14 fixed in a dovetail slide of the element 1.
The watch movement has a usual pull-tab winding and time-setting mechanism, that is to say that the winding of the mainspring only takes place if the control rod is turned. winder according to the direction of rotation of a hand of my tre, the action of the stem not being effective in the other direction of rotation.
In the example shown in the drawing, the motor spring is reassembled by sliding the element 2 in the element 1, alternately from bottom to top and from top to bottom as shown in FIG. 2. For this purpose, the watch is grasped by the handle 2 '. The result is that the pinion 9, by rolling on the chain ring 11, is set in rotation and turns the winding stem. The winding mechanism is only actuated during the upstroke of the element 2. During the downstroke, the reverse rotation of the pinion 9 is inoperative. It's obvious that. the rack could be placed on the. opposite face of the recess 12.
In this case, the winding of the mainspring would take place during the downstroke of element 2.
To set the hands on time, you have to perform at. element 1 sa. ascent stroke until crown 8 is released from element 1 (fig. 2), so that it can be grasped. We then proceed as usual, first exerting traction on the. crown to engage the time-setting mechanism.
