Incandescent electric lamp base. The present invention relates to an electric lamp base. It is characterized in that it comprises two metal parts intended to constitute the poles of the lamp and which are made integral, while being electrically insulated from one another by means of two washers of insulating material between which the edge of one of said side parts is kept recessed thanks to the fact that the other of these parts, central, is arranged so as to keep these washers tightly against each other.
The attached drawing shows schematically, by way of example, one embodiment of the base, seen in axial section.
In the drawing, 1. and 3 are two metal parts constituting the two poles of the lamp. These two parts are held mechanically assembled and electrically isolated from each other, thanks to two washers 2, 21, made of insulating material such as ebonite, fiber or another non-combustible insulating material.
The central part 1 has the shape of a short tube closed in d at one of its ends, having a projecting circular rim at this end. The cylindrical part of the part 1, which is substantially of the same dimensions as the central hole of the washers 2 and 2 ', is engaged in this central hole. The circular rim a of the open end of the part l is folded back and cooperates with the rim c to hold the washers tight against one another. Between the latter is castrated and pinched the edge <I> b b '</I> of one of the ends of part 3. This part 3 is of generally cylindrical shape and constitutes the peripheral or lateral part of the base.
It is threaded, in the example shown, but could, of course, be of the type with net bayon, "Edison" screws, differentials or any other shape.
As a result of this arrangement, the conductors (not shown) ending in the filament can be welded to parts 1 and 3, giving the same result as that obtained with the bases of known incandescent electric lamps. The base according to the invention has the advantages of being more resistant than those currently known, of lending itself to all the manipulations that the lamps may be called upon to undergo. In addition, its manufacture is more economical than those of similar known caps.
In the drawing, λ represents an annular part fixed to part 3 in a manner not shown. This fixing can be carried out in any suitable manner, for example by means of a tang which opens (like the binders) so that the part 9. is fixed to the base, thanks to the paste used to unite this. base at the head of the lamp.
This annular part could also be integral with part 3, of which it would then be a part. It could be formed during the manufacture of the part 3 by em cutting, provided that the die has a suitable shape.
The purpose of this part or annular part 9 is to prevent the fraudulent renewal or replacement of the lamps. To do this, it suffices to pass a wire, a cord, a string or other flexible member through the ring thus formed, after the lamp has been put in place, so as to constitute a ligature which will be attached to the lamp holder. , to the energy conductor or to another fixed part.
In order to allow the installation of the lamp in the lamp holder, the part is located near the edge of the part 3 not in contact with the washers 2, 211.
