Zweigangwechselgetriebe, insbesondere an Kraftfahrzeugen.
Two-speed gearboxes, in particular on motor vehicles. The invention relates to Wech gears, which consist of a direct and a translation gear. It can be used wherever, when the clutch is switched off and the drive force is lost, the speed of the driven shaft decreases more slowly than the driving shaft, as is particularly the case with motor vehicles, namely the transmission should be used without its own friction clutch.
It has often been proposed to wor to provide a further additional gear in motor vehicles in addition to the usual GE gearbox that increases the number of possible speed gears, especially when using planetary gears as the main gearbox. To switch such additional gears, however, it is always necessary to either arrange a special friction clutch for this gearbox or to loosen the connection to the engine through the main friction clutch for the duration of the circuit.
According to the present invention, this is superfluous, namely that, using two claw clutches, the shift in a two-speed transmission goes so that after releasing one clutch without a middle rest position, the clutch halves of the other clutch in Ready to engage, and in that claw teeth of the clutch half, which is faster when shifting, have shorter side flanks in the direction of rotation at the front than at the rear, so that the clutch halves that come into contact are always rejected from one another first and only then engage when the coupling half that is slower at first begins to overtake the first faster.
It is known to design a single dog clutch by sawing off teeth in such a way that it acts as an overrunning clutch at a certain speed ratio of the clutch parts to one another. The above-mentioned, inventive combination of two such claw couplings with the described switching method without taking a middle rest position ensures that at the time of contact .the two coupling halves that are supposed to engage, a certain speed ratio of the same to each other prevails.
It can never happen that one clutch half, which has to run slower than the other to act as an overhaul clutch, runs faster at the time of shifting, so that the effect as an overrunning clutch would not be possible, but a sudden meshing of the Coupling halves entered; that would have to lead to destruction.
The easiest way is the training, des. two-speed transmission according to the invention with the two claw clutches in such a way that a slidable sleeve is arranged, both ends of which are provided with coupling claws, the claw teeth being beveled in the same sense so that their faces are essentially parallel to each other. When using such a coupling sleeve, the alternating effect of the coupling as overrunning clutches is guaranteed, provided that its circuit is carried out without taking a middle rest position in such a way that the coupling halves are to be engaged immediately after the Loosening the other coupling has been going on.
Preferably, the two-speed change gearbox according to the invention is designed in the following way: The driving and the driven shaft are arranged conaxially to each other and to the side of them is an intermediate shaft on which two gears are firmly keyed, one of which is firmly on the one main shaft seated gear and the other with a loosely seated gear on the other main shaft is constantly in a grip; with one of the two main shafts the previously described claw sleeve runs around, which can alternately connect to one of the wheels arranged on the main shafts.
The engagement of the claw clutches is expediently brought about by springs which are tensioned by means of a lever which can optionally only be placed in one or the other end position and which has no middle rest position.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing an example embodiment of a transmission ge according to the invention is shown schematically, namely Fig. 1 shows the view, part of which is drawn in section. The position of the sleeve 3, which is shown in this figure, can in fact not be taken continuously according to the invention, but is a passing position that would be selected in FIG. 1 only for the sake of clear illustration. 2 and 3 are schematic order fangsabwicklungen .der claw teeth of wheel 2 and sleeve '3 respectively. of sleeve 3 and wheel 6. Fig. 4 shows .an example of a switching mechanism belonging to the transmission of Fig. 1 in a side view.
On the drive shaft 1 sits loosely gela gert, the gear 2. The sleeve 3 rotates with the drive shaft, but is displaceable on this. The end of the drive shaft 1. engages with a pin 4 loosely in the GE exaggerated, conaxial to it arranged shaft 5, on which the gear 6 is firmly keyed. The reciprocating movement of the sleeve 3 is effected by a lever 7 which is intended to exert a resilient pressure on the edges of the sleeve. This is schematic. indicated by the interposition of the compression springs 8 and 9, which: would have to grind the sleeve in the illustrated white on Iden Rähide @ n.
In VV-irhlichkeit one will bring some other known embodiment for this device for resiliently pressing the lever 7 to the execution. The sleeve can intervene with its two ends by means of claws in corresponding claws of the gears 2 and 6 interchangeably. To the side of the conical main shafts 1, 5 is an intermediate shaft 10 parallel to them, ac, on which a gear 11 permanently engaged with gear 2 and a gear 12 permanently engaged with gear 6 are keyed.
The translation ratio can be chosen, for example, so that when the gearbox is switched on, i.e. when the sleeve is connected to the gear 2, the driven shaft runs half times faster than the driving shaft, so that a translation is made faster. Is the sleeve 3 in a handle with gear 6, the driving and driven shaft run with pale rotation and the gear runs idle.
The end faces of the individual claws are beveled against the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation in such a way that the claw teeth of the clutch half, which is faster when shifting, have shorter side flanks in the direction of rotation at the front than at the rear. So the clutches work: as overhaul clutches. It should not be accelerated by this bevel from the engagement of the teeth, but on the contrary, the teeth should be rejected from one another as long as the speeds of the coupling halves are different from each other, respectively. until the first coupling half begins to become the slower one.
In Fig. 2 and 3 this is shown schematically, namely with unwound coupling sleeve. When the clutch is idling, the teeth slide relatively smoothly on one another and repel one another. The softness of this gliding can be increased by letting the whole process take place in oil or fat.
In FIG. 2 the upper teeth should belong to the coupling half of the wheel 2, while those of the sleeve 3 are shown below. The arrows A and B indicate the direction of rotation, while arrow C indicates the pressure direction of the spring &.
In Fig. 3, the upper teeth belong to the sleeve: 3 and the lower to wheel 6. The direction of rotation is again indicated by the arrows A and B and the direction of spring pressure by the arrow C.
One might think that only one coupling half would be provided with beveled claw faces, while the claw faces of the other half would be made to slide easily in some other way (e.g. rollers), but in general both will be designed in the same way Prefer halves.
Assuming that there would have been direct drive through the described gear instead, that is, the sleeve 3 is with the. Wheel 6 has been engaged, and you want to turn on the translation, so you wind the lever 7 in the direction of the arrow Z be because of and at the same time or immediately remove the driving force. Through the aforementioned lever movement, the claws come between the sleeve 3 and. the wheel 6 out of engagement and at the same time the spring 8 is tensioned. As a result of the translation ratio of the gears, the wheel 2 runs slower than the sleeve 3. The claws of the sleeve 3 will, as can be seen from Fig. 2, slide on the inclined surfaces of the claws of the wheel 2 along.
As a result of the reduction in the number of revolutions of the driving shaft, from which the driving force is removed and which in most cases is subject to a braking effect due to its own friction, which could also be artificially increased if necessary, the speed is ider in a fixed connection with the driving shaft Reduce sleeve 3 very quickly, and more quickly, a.as as the speed of the wheel 2 decreases, since, according to the prerequisite, this wheel is connected to a larger flywheel.
So within a short time the speed limit: both claws become the same, and the claw of wheel 2 will begin to overtake that of sleeve 3. As soon as this occurs, the coupling becomes effective, because now, for example, the edge 20 will lie with its tip against the tip of the edge '30, so that the claws will now be pushed into the opposite gaps as a result of the pressure of the spring 8 is going on. Of course, there is a small play between the width of the claw and the width of the gap. Now the power drive is allowed to act again on the driving shaft 1, which now drives the shaft 5 from the sleeve 3 via the wheels 2, 11, 12 and 6.
If you want to go from the position reached in this way back to: the direct drive, the lever 7 is moved in the direction of the arrow D so that the left claw clutch is disengaged while at the same time: tensioning the spring 9. If necessary, it can It may be necessary to remove the drive force here too, so that no unnecessarily strong spring is required to disengage the dog clutch under load. The claws of the wheel 6 now move past the right claws of the sleeve 3 in the same way, with constant rejection, as the left claws of the sleeve 3 did before the claws of the wheel 2, since the driven shaft now rotates faster than the driving shaft .
In order for both to achieve the same number of revolutions, it is necessary to accelerate the drive, which happens very quickly, since the driving shaft is currently idling. The same process now takes place in the right claw clutch, as described previously for the left one. As shown in Fig. 3 Darge, initially the wheel 6 runs faster than sleeve 3, so that the upper claws are rejected by the lower. As soon as the speed of the sleeve 3 has equaled that of the wheel 6, and sleeve 3 begins to overtake wheel 6, the coupling half that wants to remain behind takes place through the leading one, as previously described, so that the spring 9 now fully engages the Clawing.
In addition, this entrainment of the second coupling half by the one hurrying ahead will always be relatively gentle, since - after the same speed had previously been reached - in the maximum case only: the relative speed reached while covering a claw division can suddenly become effective.
The process for a transmission gear has been described here, which is analogous to a transmission gear in the slower.
The switching of the change gear according to the invention is such that only one of the two end points can be selected. An intermediate position in which the sleeve 3 would be 'disengaged' in the example should not be possible. For this purpose, for example, an arrangement as shown in FIG. 4 is provided. Here, the adjusting lever 7 is seen with a support detent 13 four and against this acts a pivotable about a cross pin 14 compression spring 15, through which the adjusting lever is only held in its most outer positions against stops 19 at rest. From. the adjusting lever 7 leads a handlebar 16 to a pivotable lever 18 about axis 17, which under Ver mediation of the springs 8 and 9: the sleeve 3 engages.
The transmission according to the invention can be used in many ways, for example in motor vehicles. Here it offers the advantage that it allows the number of gears in a motor vehicle to be doubled in a simple manner, for example from a two-speed transmission. A four-speed transmission! or to turn a three-speed transmission into a six-speed transmission without the need for a special friction clutch for the additional transmission. It is also not necessary to use the friction clutch that may be connected upstream of the first gear to shift the additional gear.
For example, another possible application for the transmission according to the invention is also given in general where one wants to achieve four rectified speeds, for example, with two described transmissions being arranged one behind the other without a friction clutch being necessary for shifting .
