In der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsge genstand beispielsweise veranschaulicht. Es zeigt: Fig. 1 einen Behälter in Form eines Ge müseeinsatzes für Kochgefässe im senkrech ten Minenschnitt; Fig. 2 ist die zu Fig. 1 gehörige Auf sicht; Fig. 3 zeigt im senkrechten Mitten schnitt in gegenüber Fig. 1 etwas kleinerem Massstab eine Ausführung als Trockenborde; Fig. 4 ist die zugehörige Aufsicht; Fig. 5 entspricht in der Darstellung der Fig: 3 und zeigt eine weitere Ausführungs form als Trockenhorde;
Containers for steaming, cooking or drying food. The invention relates to a container for steaming, cooking or drying food, namely the peculiarity of the new container is that it consists of perforated light metal sheet, for example pure aluminum sheet, and that at least the bottom is perforated. It is conveniently provided with feet on its underside. Since the container is made of light metal, it does not have a significant weight and is therefore easy to use. It is also much easier to clean than the wire racks that have been used up to now.
The container can be designed so that it can be used as an insert for cooking vessels, for example for steaming vegetables. Its height is then adjusted to the height of the cooking vessel and in this case is provided with a bracket on its upper edge to make it easier to remove.
The design can advantageously also be such that the container has one or more lugs on the inner surface of its jacket wall, which can serve as an abutment for a further insert or several further inserts, so that several types of vegetables can be steamed independently of one another at the same time , or the container can be designed so that it can be used as a drying tray, for example for pastries. Here, too, it has the advantages mentioned above.
It is then advantageously kept somewhat lower in terms of its overall height, in such a way that the food to be treated only lies in a lower layer on the perforated sheet metal provided with supports. The side wall can consist of full material.
In the drawing, the subject invention is illustrated, for example. 1 shows a container in the form of a vegetable insert for cooking vessels in vertical mine cut; Fig. 2 is the associated with Fig. 1 view; Fig. 3 shows in the vertical center section on a slightly smaller scale compared to Fig. 1, an embodiment as a drying shelf; Fig. 4 is the associated top view; FIG. 5 corresponds in the representation to FIG. 3 and shows a further embodiment as a drying rack;
Fig. 6 is the associated with Fig. 5 view.
The insert (FIGS. 1 and 2) has a wall a which is provided with a collar b approximately halfway up. The wall a has a bracket c at the top, which is provided with a bend d in the middle to make it easier to remove. This bracket is hinged at its ends with two pins e on the upper edge of the wall a gela Gert. The wall a, like the adjoining floor f , is provided with holes g . The bottom part f has three feet h, which are designed in the form of slightly resilient S-shaped sheets and fastened by rivets i be.
A second, correspondingly smaller one can now be placed on the collar b. Use m to be placed, as shown in Fig. 1 it is visible. The second insert also has m holes g in its bottom surface labeled u and in its wall. It also has a bracket n on its upper edge so that it can be easily removed from the main insert. The size of the insert is adapted to the size of the cooking vessel, not shown for the sake of simplicity. * In the case of the drying racks according to FIGS. 3 to 6, only the bottom plate o is provided with holes p, while the wall q is left full.
Again, on the underside of the floor o resilient feet r are provided in S-shape, which are attached by s rivets. The upper edge of the wall q is provided with a flange t for the purpose of stiffening. As shown in FIG. 3, the shelf can have walls running at an angle. Furthermore, the basic shape according to FIGS. 3 and 4 can be circular or also according to FIGS. 5 and 6 rectangular.
As a building material for the container designed according to the invention, preference is given to pure aluminum sheet. In which he can bezw from another light metal. a light metal alloy. The design is preferably such that the container is in one piece and is produced by pressing or drawing from appropriately perforated sheet metal.
The size of the holes is of course chosen so that the food in question is held safely, that is, for example, does not get into the water space of the cooking vessel.
While the use is suitable for steaming all kinds of vegetables, the tray is particularly suitable as a base for drying fresh cakes respectively. Cakes and pastries are also suitable.
