Torsional dynamometer with bearings. It is known to permanently install a torsion dynamo meter for the purpose of more convenient use in Maschi nenprüfungen in a fixed storage and to support it outside the two ends of the measuring element. This arrangement has the disadvantage that the frictional moments of the bearings are included in the measurement.
The present invention avoids this disadvantage in that the bearings support the dynamometer on parts which are all connected to the same end of the 3fess organ. This ensures that one end of the torsion dynainometer is arranged overhung and can be directly coupled to the machine to be examined. As a result, the bearing friction only acts at that end of the measuring element which is not coupled to the machine to be examined.
In order to also eliminate the air resistance also measured on the dial in the measurement result, the invention is expediently applied to a torsion dynamometer according to Swiss patent specification 118026, with the air resistance on the dial being eliminated by encapsulating it and only adhering to it the latter or at the end of the measuring element connected to it.
The dynamometer is expediently supported by the bearings in such a way that the bearing resistances and the air resistance act on one and the same end of the measuring element, namely on that which is not connected to the machine to be examined. With this arrangement, any shunt resistance on the dynamometer, which could be included in the measurement, is switched off, so that the output from the machine to be examined or the power consumed by it can be determined by error-free torque measurement.
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section, Fig. 2 shows a cross section along line A - B of Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows the plan.
The torsion dynamometer contains the measuring rod a, which is subject to the rotation, is arranged between the cross-sections 1-1 and 2-2 and is used for measurement, which at its one end c with the hollow shaft b, at its other end f is firmly clamped together with the free end or the sleeve o of the toroidal dyrramometer. A dial n is connected to the sleeve o.
The hollow shaft b carries the disk k required for the optical reading device, while the end f with the sleeve o, which is freely movable with respect to the hollow shaft b and is elastically coupled to it by the measuring rod, carries only the graduated disk yt.
The dynamometer is connected to the shaft stub q, which is conaxially opposite to the shaft d and which belongs to the machine to be examined, by an elastic coupling g that excludes any displacements of the axes. The hollow shaft b is also rigidly kup pelt at the point p) to the shaft d, which is mounted in a double bearing 1, 7n corresponding to the present conditions and which carries the drive pulley e. Furthermore, a bearing 6t is provided, which supports the dynamometer on the hollow shaft b.
The resistances of the bearings h, 1 and 7n act on parts which are all connected to the same end of the DZessstabes a.
In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the hollow shaft b of the goal dynamometer carries the air protection housing i, which, like the disk k, is connected to the cross-section 2-2 and does not cause any air resistance on the dial disk 7t connected to the cross-section 1-1.
With this arrangement, all bearings and air resistances only act at the same end of the measuring element and are therefore not included in the measurement of the torque of the machine to be examined.
