A locking device for pipelines that can be operated by a key. The present invention relates to a locking device for pipelines (for example a tap or valve) having a locking device that can be actuated by a key, in which the key is used both to actuate the locking device and to switch the movable locking element.
According to the inven tion, the movable closure member has a shaft which consists of two equiaxed, identical in cross-section, cylinders with a basic shape and bounded on one side by a rule surface generated by parallels to the cylinder axis, the latter consisting of said rule surfaces on opposite sides and each other through a cylindrical piece:
are separated, the space of which is equal to the smallest distance of the rule areas from the cylinder axis, the key that can be placed on the shaft is bored inside to the diameter of the first-mentioned cylindrical parts, in the lowest part one with the rule area of one of the first-mentioned cylindrical part has cooperating stop and can act with the lower part on a normally held by a spring in the engagement position locking part.
In the drawing, designed as a cock embodiment of the subject invention He is shown.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the tap housing and the locking device parallel to the bore of the tap housing; Fig. 2 shows a cross-section at right angles to the longitudinal bore of the tap housing; Fig. 3 shows the locking device and cock from above, and Fig. 4 shows a cross section according to the line a-a of Fig. 2; Fig. 5 shows a particular embodiment of a detail.
The tap housing 1 is shaped at the top to form a connecting piece 2 on which a cover 3 is attached. The cover serves as a guide sleeve for the key 4 and includes the shaft of the cock cone 5, which consists of a cylindrical piece 6, which has a flat surface 7 on one side as a special form of the control surface, the generatrix of which is parallel to the axis of the cylindrical piece - kes 6, has a cylindrical piece 8, which is smaller in diameter than the piece 6, and a cylindrical piece 9, which is of the same diameter as the piece 6 and which,
as this is provided with a flat surface 10 which points to the opposite side in relation to surface 7.
Inside the nozzle 21 of the valve housing a ring-shaped locking part 11 is attached to the shaft 6, which has a crest 12 inside which fits the shaft 6, whereby the locking part 11 is forced to make the rotation of the orbit cone.
Furthermore, the locking part 11 has locking lugs on the outside, for example lobes 13, which engage in cutouts 14 of the cover 3. By means of a coil spring 16, the locking part 11 is held in engagement with the cutouts 14, whereby the rotation of the ffahnkegels in the tap housing is made impossible. At the same time, the spring 16 exerts an appropriate pressure. at the bottom of the valve cone and thereby keeps the valve tight.
The key 4 has a bore that fits the stem of the cock plug, and it is provided on the inside with a segment-shaped lamb 17 that fits the surfaces 7, 10 of the stem so that the plug can be turned by the key.
When the key 4 is inserted, the comb 17 is pushed along the surface of the shaft 10 down to the cylindrical piece 8, which is so much smaller in diameter than the pieces 6 and 9 that the key can be turned around the shaft, until the comb reaches the surface 7; then the key can be pushed all the way down against the locking part 11 and bring it out of engagement with the cutouts 14 by overcoming the spring force, after which the cock cone can be turned around by the key.
With the specified shape of the stem of the cock plug, the cock can practically only be opened with the key specially adapted for the stem. The spring pressure cannot throw the key completely out of the lock if the locking part is suddenly pushed into the locking position by the spring, as the key must first be turned half a turn around the cylindrical piece 8 of the Ila.hnkegel- shaft, before it can be removed from the tap housing.
On the key handle 18 a Zap fen 19 is attached, which, when the key is pressed in and turned, engages under an edge 20 provided on the cover 3 and thereby prevents the key from being removed when the tap is open. When the key is turned back so that the tap is closed and the key is then released, the spring 16 automatically pushes the locking part 11 into the engagement position and also pushes the key out of the cover by a corresponding amount.
Accidental knocks against the handle of the key can then not cause any rotation of the cock, and for further security you can remove the key completely from the lock.
In order to prevent the cock cone 5 from being lifted with the key, so that the cock leaks, the cock housing inside the stub 2 can be provided with a specially designed rim 21 which, after the cock cone in the cock housing is to be bent around an edge 22 suitably formed at the top of the cock cone and holds there in place through the stalk cone.
The same result is achieved by the embodiment shown in FIG. 5 of the drawing, where in place of the curved edge 21, a screw 23 provided with a cone tip is used, which is screwed through the tap housing 1 against a conical surface 24 provided on the top of the tap cone .
