  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Derivates eines     Kiipenfarbstof%s.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein Derivat       eines        liüpenfarbstoffes    erhält, wenn man  die     Leukoverbindung    des     6,6'-Dichlorthio-          indigos    mit einer     Monohalogenessigsäure    be  handelt.  



  Die neue Verbindung bildet ein braunes  Pulver; sie ist in Alkohol sehr schwer lös  lich, in Äther, Benzol, Chloroform, Wasser  und verdünnten Säuren unlöslich, dagegen  sehr leicht löslich in kalter, verdünnter  Lauge mit brauner Farbe. Durch Erwärmen  in saurem oder alkalischem Medium in  Gegenwart von Oxydationsmitteln, wie Ei  senchlorid oder     Ferricyankalium,    lässt sich  das Produkt. zum     6,6'-Dichlorthioindigo    zu  rückverwandeln.

           Beispiel:       Zu einer Lösung von<B>30O</B> Teilen     Leuko-          6,6'-Dichlorthioindigo    in .t00 Teilen Na  triumhydroxyd und     12Q0    Teilen Wasser  werden 260 Teile Chloressigsäure, gelöst  in 1400 Teilen Wasser unter Zusatz von    <B>180</B> Teilen Soda., zugegeben und das Ge  misch. während einer Stunde auf 75 bis 80 "  erwärmt.

   Hierauf wird von wenig unver  ändertem     Leuko-6,6'-Dichlorthioindigo    ab  filtriert und das Filtrat mit 600 Teilen kon  zentrierter Salzsäure angesäuert, wobei das  Kondensationsprodukt in Form eines brau  nen Pulvers sich. abscheidet, welches     ab-          filtriert,    mit Wasser ausgewaschen., ge  trocknet und gemahlen wird.
