Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines o-Ogyazofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man neue o- Ozya.zofa.rbstoffe erhält, die wertvolle, durch ihr Egalisierungsvermögen ausgezeichnete Beizenfa,rbstoffe von vorzüglichen Echt heitseigenschaften sind, wenn man o-Oxy- dia.zoverbindungen mit 2. 8-Dioxynaphthalin- 6-carbonsäure, zweckmässig in alkalischer Lösung, kuppelt.
Die bisher unbekannte 2.8-Dioxynaph- thalin-6-carbonsäure erhält man durch Sul- fieren der 2.6-Naphtholcarbonsäure und Alkalischmelze der so erhaltenen 2-Naphthol- 8-sulfo-6-ca-rbonsäure.
Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich nun auf die Darstellung eines o-Oxyazofarbstoffes durch Kombination von diazotiertem 4- Chlor-2-aminophenol mit 2.8-Dioaynaph- thalin-6-carbonsäure.
Trocken ist der Farbstoff ein schwärz liches Pulver, löslich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit bläulich roter Farbe; pr färbt Wolle in sehr gleichmässigen brau- nen Tönen; durch Nachchromieren erhält man ein Schwarz von vorzüglicher Alkali-, Dekatur-, Schwefel-, Walk- und Wasser echtheit.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man diazotiert 141,35 Teüle 4-Chlor,-2- aminophenol in der üblichen Weise und lässt die Diazoverbindung in eine Lösung von 21 Teilen 2.8-Dioxynaphthalin-6-carbon- säure einfliessen, welche die zur Bindung der gesamten Säure nötige Menge Kalk milch enthält. Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der Kalk durch Zugabe von Soda gefällt und durch Filtration entfernt. Der Farb stoff wird aus dem Filtrat durch Aussalzen gewonnen.

The hitherto unknown 2,8-dioxynaphthalene-6-carboxylic acid is obtained by sulphuring the 2,6-naphthol carboxylic acid and alkali melting the 2-naphthol-8-sulfo-6-carboxylic acid thus obtained.
The present patent now relates to the preparation of an o-oxyazo dye by combining diazotized 4-chloro-2-aminophenol with 2,8-dioaynaphthalene-6-carboxylic acid.
When dry, the dye is a blackish powder, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid with a bluish red color; pr dyes wool in very even brown tones; Chromium plating produces a black with excellent alkali, decatur, sulfur, milled and water fastness.
<I> Example: </I> 141.35 parts of 4-chloro, -2-aminophenol are diazotized in the usual way and the diazo compound is allowed to flow into a solution of 21 parts of 2,8-dioxynaphthalene-6-carboxylic acid which contains the contains the amount of milk of lime necessary to bind all the acid. After the coupling has ended, the lime is precipitated by adding soda and removed by filtration. The dye is obtained from the filtrate by salting out.
