Description

Process for the manufacture of wristwatch boxes. Boxes of so-called "horn" wristwatches are already known comprising handles the sides of which are generally thicker than the bar which connects them and arranged in the extension of the sides of the box which is preferably kept square or rectangle. The horns of these boxes are generally welded to the bezel or manufactured with the latter. When the horns are at the middle, they are welded to the latter; so that, forming a separate part in the manufacturing process, it is necessary to treat them especially during the possible decoration.

The solder, moreover, is still visible and the box always looks a bit mended.

The object of the present invention is a process for the manufacture of wristwatch cases in which a blank middle part provided with lugs intended to receive bars to form the handles of the case, the middle part is cut with a single strike. being completed by filming.

In this way, the manufacturing costs are first reduced by eliminating the soldering and can then decorate the middle part in one go thus giving the case a much better appearance.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, a wristwatch case ob held by the method according to the invention.

Fig. 1 is a sectional view along the line I-I of FIG. 2. The latter is a plan view of the middle part and FIG. 3 a side view.

In the drawing, 1 designates the middle of the case. This middle part is blank in a single strike by cutting and it is provided with lugs 2 from manufacture with the blank, the latter is then rotated to provide there beatings and counter-beatings intended to receive a back 3 and a bezel 4. In the horns 2 are drilled holes for fi bars which complete the handles of the box.

The box shown has the shape of a curved square, but it is obvious that it can have any shape such as. square with cut corners, rectangular, etc.
