Device for coupling a counter to a machine tool. In order to determine the efficiency or production of an automatic machine tool, for example a bar turning machine, it was until now necessary to count the number of parts shaped on the machine, which is quite enough work. long and expensive, increasing the cost price of production.
The present invention offers the possibility of mechanically controlling the production of a machine tool, by means of a counter, for example a simple revolution counter intended to be connected to the machine so that it is actuated by a rotary member of the latter, preferably by the camshaft, and records the number of revolutions made during a period of activity of the machine.
The object of the invention is a device for coupling a meter to a machine tool. This device comprises a clutch and disengagement sleeve fitted on the control shaft of the meter mounted on a support, which shaft is intended to be connected by one end provided with coupling means, to a shaft of the machine. tools, this sleeve being integral in rotation with the control shaft of the counter, while being movable on this shaft along its axis of rotation, so that it can be pushed towards said shaft of the machine-tool or by it. move aside, depending on whether you want to engage or disengage the speedometer.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 la shows part in elevation, part in section; Figs. 2 and 3 show sections along lines II-II respectively III-III of FIG. 1.
In the drawing we can see the rear end of the camshaft 1 of a automatic bar turning machine. 2 is a cam wedged on the shaft 1 by means of a nut 3. A revolution counter 4 is mounted on the rod 5 of a support fixed either to the workbench or to the machine's tank, so that The meter can be easily and quickly detached from the bench or machine. The control shaft 6 of the counter is arranged in the extension of the camshaft 1 and carries a coupling sleeve 8 having a longitudinal slot 9, in which is engaged a driving finger 10 fixed to the shaft. tree 6.
The latter has, on the other hand, two notches 11, 12, in one of which is secured the curved nose of a spring 13 fixed to a flange 14 of the sleeve 8, said curved nose passing through a elongated opening 15 of the sleeve. The solid end of the sleeve 8 is fitted in a slot 16 of the camshaft 1 and carries a driving finger 17 engaged in a lateral notch 18 of the hole 16, which has the effect that the sleeve 8 is driven by the camshaft 1 by means of the finger 17. The sleeve 8 in turn drives the shaft 6 of the counter, by means of the finger 10.
However, the sleeve 8 can be moved axially on the shaft 6, so that the drive finger 17 disengages from the notch 18 and from the shaft 1. Consequently, the sleeve is disengaged and the meter is no longer. driven by the camshaft 1 of the machine. When the sleeve is engaged, as shown in the drawing, the spring 13 is engaged in the notch 12 of the shaft 6, thus ensuring the acquired position of the sleeve. The position of the sleeve is still ensured when it is disengaged, because the spring block 13 passes from the notch 12 into the notch 11 when the sleeve 8 is moved from right to left.
It follows from this arrangement that the counter is engaged if the machon 8 is pushed towards the camshaft 1 (from left to right), and disengaged if the sleeve is brought back (from right to left). The counter is engaged by the attendant as soon as the machine comes into operation, so that it will mark the number of revolutions made by the camshaft, a number which is equal or proportional to the number of parts shaped on the machine. When the machine is not in service, the counter and the coupling device can be adapted to another similar machine.
