Nozzle for the supply of gas or air into heating chambers. The invention relates to a nozzle for the supply of gas or air into stimulus chambers, in particular of gas generating ovens.
According to the present invention, contrary to the previously known designs, the nozzle body is beveled at its mouth in the heating chamber and the free nozzle outlet cross-section can be regulated by a slide block that can be displaced on the inclined surface of the nozzle body.
This gives the opportunity to regulate the nozzle outlet opening by shifting the slide block without losing too much time, where the slide block rests on its contact surface in every position, in contrast to the known designs where so-called facing blocks are only placed upright in front of the nozzle opening come to the application, which always leave a certain amount of space between the two facing surfaces.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown on the drawing Darge, namely: Figure 1 is a longitudinal section through a heating flue of a gas generating furnace; Figure 2 is a cross-section on line A-B of Figure 1; FIG. 3 is a cross-section on line C-D of FIG. 1.
In the furnace shown, the generator gas passes through collecting channels h into the individual supply channels d; In addition, the preheated combustion air is drawn in separate channels e: from the, collecting channel i. supplied to the point of use. Both gases enter the heating ducts b parallel to each other, and mixing and combustion take place immediately when they exit the nozzle blocks form the nozzle blocks e.
In order to be able to regulate the combustion and the mixing ratio easily, which is necessary for uniform heating of the chambers, the slide blocks f, which are provided with an attack nose at the top, are arranged at the mouth of the nozzle blocks c. The nozzle blocks c are beveled at their mouth for this purpose, and the slide blocks f rest displaceably on the inclined surface of the nozzle blocks e so formed; o that the desired regulation of the free nozzle outlet cross-section can be brought about by their displacement.
The inclined surface of the same has such a slope that the friction is sufficient to hold the slide blocks f in the desired position.
The displacement of the slide blocks f can BEZW through the front wall of the furnace. by means of iron regulating rods to be attached to the engagement noses of the slide blocks, and can be carried out very easily in operation without opening the furnace.
Each gas supply and air supply duct has its own slide valve f so that each type of gas can be regulated independently of the others.
