Es werden dazu nämlich Regeneratoren benutzt, die sich in der Längsrichtung der Ofenkammern auf deren halbe Länge erstrecken und durch eine waagerechte Zunge unterteilt sind, so daß die "heiße Luft an 'den Ofenköpfen aufwärts steigend den Regeneratoren entströmt und somit ohne weiteres vor allem in den ersten Heizzügen aufsteigt. Die Bauart des Ofens sichert somit in natürlicher Weise die erforderliche erhöhte Beheizung der Köpfe. In der Zeichnung ist eine Ausführuwngsform des Koksofen dargestellt.
