Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Herstellung eines     Küpenfarbstoffes    der     Thloindigoreihe.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen       Küpenfarbstoff    erhält, wenn man den 4.4'-6.       6'-Tetramethylthioindigobromiert.    Die     Bromie-          rung    kann nach den üblichen Methoden durch  geführt werden. Der so erhaltene 5.     5'-Dibrom-          4.4'-6.        6'-Tetramethylthioindigo    stellt ein dun  kelrot gefärbtes Pulver dar, das sich in  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit grüner Farbe  löst.

   Mit Natronlauge und     Hydrosulfit    bildet  er eine gelbe     Küpe,    aus der Baumwolle in  licht-, koch- und chlorechten rotvioletten Tönen  angefärbt wird.  



       Beispiel:     35 Gewichtsteile     4.4'-6.6'-Tetramethyl-          thioindigo    werden in 500 Gewichtsteilen     Nitro-          benzol    suspendiert und nach Zusatz von 35  Gewichtsteilen Brom allmählich zum gelinden  Sieden erhitzt. Nach beendigter Bromwasser-         stoffentwicklung    lässt man erkalten, filtriert  und wäscht mit Alkohol.

When the evolution of hydrogen bromide has ended, the mixture is allowed to cool, filtered and washed with alcohol.
