Coke cooling system with transfer of heat to a point of consumption. The invention relates to a coke cooling system with delivery of the heat to a consumption point, in which a memory is provided, which manages the balance between the un steady supply of heat and the heat requirement of the point of consumption when coke accumulates intermittently.
As is well known, the ovens that produce the hot coke work in such a way that they release the coke in bursts, for example every 8, 12 or 24 hours, in quantities of one or more chamber batches each. For loading the cooling container, for this reason, up to now the procedure has been that the coke is poured directly into the cooling container as it is presented by the coke oven.
However, this results in intermittent steam generation and intermittent steam delivery to which the steam consumption points usually cannot adapt and which, despite the measures previously proposed to avoid them, has not been remedied in such a way that steam can be released independently of the coke supply. With the present invention, the avoidance of this drawback is intended. The cooling space can be designed in such a way that it is completely or partially limited by the heat transfer surfaces of the device for absorbing the coke waste heat.
On the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown.
Fig. 1 relates to a coke cooling system, in which the hot coke filled into the cooling container a is cooled in a known manner by neutral gases, which blows from the Ge b in a closed stream, in the sense of the arrows, through the coke and over @ The heating surfaces of the steam boiler c are driven for the purpose of transferring the heat accepted from the coke to the boiler, from which it is used for steam generation.
The hot coke is filled into the top of the cooling container and the cooled coke is removed from the lower part of the cooling container by means of the conveyor belt d as required.
The cooling container a is now preceded by a storage container e, in which the hot coke released in bursts from the coke oven, instead of being introduced directly into the cooling container, is stored until it passes through the channel f according to the flow of cooled coke slides down into the cooling container.
By regulating the coke withdrawals accordingly, the heat output of the coke to the boiler and thus the steam generation can BEZW in this way. Regardless of the intermittent accumulation of coke, the steam output can be regulated in accordance with the respective requirements of the steam consumption points. It has also become possible in this way to bridge the heat failures that were previously felt during the charging of the cooling container during the generation of steam and to heat the boiler with cooling gases of approximately constant temperature.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 only by the fact that here, instead of a cooling space arranged in a cooling tower outside the boiler, a cooling space is provided which is below the supply track for the hot coke within a Angled roller cylinder is arranged so that the coke gives off its arms to the boiler almost exclusively through conduction and radiation without the aid of gas circulation. The coke extraction and thus the steam generation is regulated by a conveyor roller d,
When it is rotated in the direction of the arrow, not only cooled coke slides out of the cooling space onto the removal device rg, but also hot coke in a corresponding amount from the storage container e into the cooling space.
In such coke cooling systems, it is advisable to close the cooling space at the outlet point of the cooled coke into the atmosphere by a curtain from the atmosphere made up of pendulum-like bodies 1i. Due to the inclined arrangement of the cooling chamber, the individual pieces of coke will also perform rotary movements as they slide, which are conducive to the coke's heat release. The rotational movements are expediently accelerated by the uneven design of the sliding surfaces.
The coke container acting as a memory could also be designed as a mobile trans port container that brings the coke from the furnace to the cooling system.
Instead of storing hot coke in a special container, the desired balance between heat supply and heat demand can also be achieved according to FIG. 3 by charging the cooling space in the previous manner directly from the coke oven in bursts, while the steam generated in bursts into a steam accumulator -i connected to the steam generator.
who takes on the temporarily generated excess steam and stores it in a known manner so that it can be passed on to the point of consumption at any time as required.
