It is a drying plant heated by the exhaust gases of a boiler
known to use boiler exhaust gases for drying purposes. With normal boilers is
In many cases, however, it is only possible to dry part of the material to be dried in this way,
while choosing the appropriate boiler type with such high exhaust gas temperatures
can work that the whole property is dried by the boiler exhaust gases. It is
provided that the average amount of exhaust gas is just for drying
of the entire wet material is sufficient. Now, depending on the boiler load, the in
the amount of heat available to the exhaust gases. This would also reduce the drying process
Be subject to fluctuations that affect the quality of the dried goods.
The same would be the case if the boiler was loaded evenly, but
the amount of wet material is changed. A measure of the fluctuations is, for example
the temperature of the hot gases emerging from the dryer. The temperature drops
below a certain value, this is a sign of a lack of heat
if it has a certain value, it means an excess of heat.
Der Heizer muß also stärker feuern.
According to the invention, when the temperature falls behind the dryer,
d. H. with @ reduced heat dissipation to the drying system, the amount to be supplied to the boiler system
Amount of combustion air increased. However, it causes an increase in the amount of air
a reduction in the gas temperature in the boiler and thus a reduced heat absorption
of the boiler, d. H. so, a larger amount of heat remains in the exhaust gases
than with normal air supply. This increased amount of heat is used for drying purposes
to disposal. When the gas temperature in the boiler is reduced, however, the generation of steam decreases.
So the stoker has to fire harder. This increases the gas temperature and the amount
the combustion air is reduced again and, as a result, that of the drying system
The amount of heat to be supplied is kept at the previous level.
The diagram of such a system is shown in Fig. Z.
r denotes the boiler, 2 the grate, 3 the fan, q. the air supply to the
Grate 2. The exhaust gases from the boiler enter a drying drum 5, from which they pass through
the fan 6 can be extracted. In the line q. is a flap 7, which by
a temperature pulse 8 is adjusted. The temperature pulse 8 monitors the gas temperature
behind the drying drum 5. This z. B. from, the flap 7 is opened a little,
the fan 3 then supplies a larger amount of air for the grate 2, and this leads
a correspondingly increased 'amount of heat to the drying drum 5 from. Has. the stoker
the firing is reinforced in accordance with the resulting reduced steam generation, see above
the exhaust gas temperature rises and with it the temperature
the drying gases
behind the drum 5 again. As a result, the flap 7 is affected by the temperature pulse
8 again somewhat closed, so a smaller amount of heat gets into the drying drum
5, and equilibrium is restored.
Abb. i.In the system according to Fig. 2, as in the system according to Fig. X, the exhaust gases from the furnace io of a steam generator ix are fed through a line i2 to the drying drum 13 and from this through the fan 1q. sucked off. A fan 15 feeds the combustion air to the grate io through a line 16. A temperature pulse 17 adjusts the throttle valve 18 in the line 16. This system differs from that according to FIG. With the help of this bypass line, cold air can be added to the exhaust gases in order to maintain a certain temperature if the average exhaust gas temperature is too high for the dry material. The required mixing ratio is regulated by a temperature pulse 2o, which moves a flap 21. The mode of operation of this system is otherwise the same as that of the system according to Fig. I.
