Device for heating the working medium of thermal power plants, in which a gaseous working medium, preferably air, describes a closed circuit under excess pressure. The invention relates to a device for heating the working fluid of thermal power plants, in which a gaseous Ar beitsmittel, preferably air, writes a closed circuit under overpressure be.
In such systems, the working medium heated by external indirect heat supply is allowed to expand with external power output, preferably in at least one turbine, in order to be brought to higher pressure thereupon, preferably in at least one turbo compressor. In contrast to gas turbine systems with an open circuit, the working medium is not heated by the direct combustion of fuels in the working medium flow, but in such a way that the heating heat is transferred from an external heat source through the walls to the working medium .
In thermal power plants with a closed circuit of the working medium, the output output to the outside can be regulated in a simple way that the specific weight of the circulating work is changed by means of a roughly proportional change in output at a constant temperature, which is achieved by corresponding to the temporary on - or discharge of work equipment in resp. out of the cycle.
The change in the circulating weight of the working equipment when the power output changes, however, makes it necessary that the amount of heat supplied from outside is changed to approximately the same amount and in the same time as the specific weight of the working equipment, i.e. it is regulated, if not an undesirably strong one Changes in the temperatures in the circuit and thus a strong risk to the usually already highly stressed system parts should occur.
The amount of heat to be supplied to the working fluid from the outside can be generated, for example, by burning <B> 01 </B> in a special gas heater, with the combustion gases on one side of the heat exchange surface of the C- aserhitzers and can transfer their heat through the wall to the working fluid.
Such a heating can be regulated relatively quickly by influencing the oil supply in the burners accordingly. If pulverized coal burners were used instead of oil burners, such regulation of the fuel supply, which may be required quickly, is likewise impossible It is also desirable to be able to use cheap fuels such as coal, peat and the like in the most untreated condition possible in a thermal power plant of the type mentioned.
The heating costs of a gas heater for a certain output are in fact significantly higher with <B> 01- </B> and pulverized coal heating than they would be with normal coal combustion to generate the same number of calories in a steam boiler. This jeopardizes the profitability of the system.
With the load remaining the same, one could think of burning coal on a grate and using the fire gases obtained to feed the gas heater, in which heat is to be supplied to the working medium from outside. This could, as is the case with burner operation and as is also the case with normal steam boilers. the grate, the burner chamber and the other parts with the gas heater are advantageous. can be combined into one unit.
But if the weight of the circulating working fluid changes rapidly, it is not possible in such a United combustion of the coal on a grate to change the combustion process, the grate temperatures and radiant heat accordingly quickly.
In the event of a rapid decrease in the weight of the circulating work equipment, i.e. if the thermal power plant has to follow a reduced load, the gas heater surfaces and thus the work equipment to be heated would instantly be heated much too much. which could result in material damage and explosions.
Conversely, in the event of a sudden load on the thermal power i till, load age, i.e. if more weight is circulated through the gas heater, it would not be possible to increase the combustion process on the grate correspondingly quickly. The tem peratures in the closed circuit would therefore drop and the desired increase in the load capacity of the system would not materialize.
A grate furnace on which coal is burned is therefore unsuitable for regulatory reasons, in contrast to steam power plants. for the operation of poor power plants in which the work equipment is permanently in a closed cycle.
The invention now aims to create a device for heating the working fluid of thermal power plants of the type mentioned at the beginning, which also allows raw, cheap coal to be used as a - @ Tärniequelle, without the disadvantages of a rust just described - Firing with the impossibility of adapting to any load change must be accepted.
In order to achieve this, according to the present invention, the heater in which the working fluid is heated; is ruled out to a gas generator, and the gases supplied by it are burned in the heater. The amount of gas produced by the generator is regulated as a function of the operation of the thermal power plant, preferably on its external power output.
In this case, the coal is used indirectly to heat the working medium by burning it on a grate in the generator for generator gas and feeding this gas to burners of the gas heater of the thermal power plant, where it is mixed with secondary The air of combustion burns.
The resulting heat is then given off in the required amount through the exchanger surfaces of the gas heater to the working medium flowing through the closed circuit. The cooled combustion gases can be sucked out of the Gaserhit zer, for example by an induced draft fan. Will then at any time, e.g.
If, for example, suddenly less heat is requested from the closed circuit because the external power requirement drops, then it is only necessary to ensure that less generator gas is sucked out of the gas generator.
The invention produces the advantageous technical effect that cheap, solid fuels, such as un- a.ufzubereitete coal, peat and the like, are now readily available for the operation of thermal power plants in which the gaseous working medium describes a closed circuit and the load is subject to strong fluctuations, can be used economically.
In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated in a simplified representation, namely: Fig. 1 shows a device in which fresh air preheated by the exhaust gases of the heater is supplied to the burner of the heater, and Fig. 2 shows a device in which Fresh air preheated by the exhaust gases from the heater enters the gas generator.
1 denotes a heater in which a working medium describing a closed circuit under excess pressure, preferably air, is to be heated in a thermal power plant. The actual heating of the working medium takes place in a tubular heat exchanger 2 around which fire gases that are generated in the manner described below are washed around.
The heating of the working medium is advantageously driven to at least 500 C in the heater 1. The thus heated working medium reaches ge through a line 3 into a turbine 4, where it expands with work output to a Ma machine 5, which can be formed, for example, as a generator. The turbine 4 also drives a centrifugal compressor 6 at the same time.
The expanded working fluid flowing out of the turbine 4 passes through a line 7 into a heat exchanger 8 designed as a countercurrent apparatus, where it gives off heat to the working fluid compressed by a turbo compressor 6, which flows through a line 9 from the compressor 6 reaches this tubular heat exchanger 8.
The expanded working medium arrives after it has given off heat in the heat exchanger 8. through a line 10 into the compressor 6, while the working medium of higher pressure, which has absorbed heat in the heat exchanger 8, passes through a line 11 into the tubular heat exchanger 2 of the heater 1. 12 denotes a gas generator of a known type, the fresh air flows through a line 17.
The gas generated in this gas generator passes through a line 14, in which a control valve 15 is installed, to a burner 16, which fer ner in a line 13 preheated fresh air is supplied. The mixture of .Ge- neratorgas and preheated fresh air is burned in the heater 1 and supplies the fire gases required to heat the working fluid of the thermal power plant.
The exhaust gases from the heater 1 pass through a line 18 into a heat exchanger 19, where they give off their residual heat to the fresh air flowing through the line 13 to the burner 16. The exhaust gases flow out of the heat exchanger 19 through a line 21 in which an induced draft fan 22 can be regulated in the flow rate. The induced draft fan 22 also causes the exhaust gases to be sucked out of the heater 1 via the heat exchanger 19 and the line 18.
By regulating the flow rate of this induced draft fan 29, it is possible to influence the amount of gas generated in the gas generator 12 by the amount of fresh air flowing into the gas generator through the line 17 depends on the passage of the induced draft fan 22 and. As is known, the amount of gas generated in a gas generator can only be changed by changing the amount of air sucked through its cooling grate.
In addition, the amount of gas generated by the gas generator 12 can also be quickly and instantly regulated with the aid of the regulator device 15 in the feed line 14 to the burner 16 of the heater I. The regulation of the delivery rate of the induced draft fan 22) or the setting of the device 15 can, for example, take place automatically as a function of the external power output of the thermal power plant.
If the regulation of the drop in output of the thermal power plant is carried out by changing the specific weight of the circulating work medium, the generator can be generated automatically depending on the specific weight of the circulating work medium, for example by the fact that depending on this specific Weight is acted on the course of the induced draft fan 22 or on the control valve 15.
The one in Fig. The embodiment shown differs from the one described first only in that the fresh air preheated in a heat exchanger 23 by the exhaust gases from the heater 24 is not sent to the burner 27 of the heater 24, but through a line 26 to the gas generator? 5 is supplied. The gas generated in the latter arrives in a line 28 with a built-in control device 9 to the burner 27.
in which it mixes with the fresh air flowing through a line 30 in order to deliver the grains to be burned in the heater 24.
If desired, only part of the residual heat can be drawn off from the heater, the combustion gases to preheat the gas in the gas generator or the combustion air required in the heater is used. A portion of such residual heat can also be used in a secondary heat exchange device for generating power, for heating purposes and the like.
'If heat economy is not particularly important, the necessary fresh air can be preheated using the exhaust gases from the heater. In such a case, the waste heat of the heater can be used for any other heating or heating purposes.
Instead of an induced draft fan, which initially sucks fresh air through the grate of the gas generator and then the generated glass through the heater, a pressure fan can be provided which can be regulated in terms of its delivery rate and supplies the fresh air required in the gas generator . and then causes the generated gelator gases and the flue gases obtained from them to be driven through the generator, the heater and possibly the preheater.
Instead of cla.ss, the amount of gas generated by the gas generator is regulated as a function of the external power output of the thermal power plant, it can also be as a function of. of another quantity connected with the course of this system, z. B. as a function of the pressure or a temperature at any point in the system.
So, for example, the delivery rate. of the induced draft or pressure fan, which is to be provided in connection with the gas generator, also depending on the temperature of the walls of the tubular heat exchanger of the heater, in which heat is indirectly supplied from the outside to the working medium describing the closed circuit.
