Bushing for gas-tight separation of the rotor and stator of the drive motor of electrically operated refrigeration machines. The invention relates to a sleeve for the gas-tight separation of the rotor and stator of the motor which actuates the compressor of electrically operated refrigerating machines. Alloyed steels, which cannot be magnetized and have a high electrical resistance, have already been used as building materials for such sleeves. Since such partition walls are very thin for constructional reasons, the building material used for their manufacture must have high strength and great resistance to corrosion and acid attack, since the slightest rust or acid attack makes the box unusable.
The latter is all the more the case with the rifles built up to now, as the high-alloy steels that have been used up to now are subject to grain disintegration and, as a result, cracking in the event of a local attack by atmospheres or acids. These shortcomings are now remedied according to the present invention in that the sleeve is made of a steel alloy with 9-22 v. H. Chrom, 33-5 v. H. Nickel and less than 1.0 per cent. H. carbon is produced.
Such an alloy combines the advantages that it allows electrically favorable conditions to be obtained in that it is non-magnetizable and has a relatively high electrical resistance, as well as high strength, great ductility and high resistance to corrosion and attack by acids. Furthermore, this alloy is subjected to such a heat treatment that after treatment it is not subject to any signs of aging caused by crystal disintegration under certain influences (temperature, stresses originating from production, electrical currents and the like).
All of these properties that occur together contribute to the fact that the steel alloy of the specified composition is particularly well suited for the production of bushings for refrigerating machines.
A steel sleeve, which is built between the stator and rotor of an electric motor, the air gap between the poles of the stator and the rotor material is significantly increased compared to a motor without a sleeve. This results in very significant electrical losses. Since the proposed chrome-nickel steel alloy has an extraordinarily high strength and great ductility, it enables the part built between the magnetic poles of the stator and the rotor to be kept thinner than the rest of the sleeve, that is, the rest of it can Part can be kept significantly thicker. With such a design of the sleeve, it is therefore also possible to obtain a good efficiency of the elec tromotors.
Tests have shown that the alloy is particularly suitable for the production of Büch sen of the type in question if they have a nickel content of 5-9%. H. and a chromium content of 15-22%. H. or on the other hand a nickel content of 18-25%. H. and a chromium content of 9-15%. H. has, and preferably about 0.1%. H. contains carbon and when this alloy has been subjected to an afterglow at about 800C
