Diesel engine with closed crankcase. At the moment, machines with pressure lubrication, especially large units of machines such as those used for ships and the like, require a considerable supply of lubricant, and when the machine is working, an oil vapor or vapor is generated which is generated by ventilation and other openings in the crankcase of the machine escape,
contaminates the air in the engine room and especially covers the metal objects in the engine room with an oily precipitate. The oil mist in the atmosphere is very unpleasant and harmful to the health of the staff, and the greasy, slippery coating on the metal objects is also undesirable.
The invention aims to eliminate these shortcomings and achieves this in that the air permeated with oil in the crankcase is replaced by other air and glass of oil is recovered.
The drawing relates to three execution examples of the subject invention. Fig. 1 is an elevation of the first Ausfüh approximately example, Fig. 2 is an elevation of the second Ausfüh approximately example, Fig. 3 is a vertical section through an oil separator of the third game Ausführungsbei.
According to Fig. 1, at the top of the crankcase 2 of the machine 1, a vent pipe 3 is closed, through which the air permeated with oil from the housing to a capacitor 4 is performed. becomes. This condenser is shown in section and has two closed chambers 5 and 6 which are connected to one another by many tubes 7 in a water chamber 8 of the condenser.
The air permeated with oil enters the chamber 5 and then flows through the tubes 7 into the chamber G, while cold water enters through the tube 9, flows through the water chamber 8 of the condenser, washes around the tubes 7 and flows out through the outlet tube 10 . In this way, the oil is condensed and collects at the bottom of the con-

The separators are expediently cooled by air, for example.
The invention not only keeps the air in the engine room free of oil vapor, but also a part of the lubricating oil that otherwise escapes as vapor or mist. and is lost, retained and recovered for further use, thereby saving considerable on current expenses. The air exchange in the crankcase finally also helps cool the machine.
In some cases, it is sufficient, just a capacitor, just a mechanical separator from BEZW. to use a filter. A second separator can also be arranged behind the filter or a mechanical separator.
