Technique for manufacturing seamless G11mlnlsallger. Up to now, the suction cups were vulcanized on vulcanizing hooks, consisting of a bent wire provided with a handle, the bent part of which is branched and the branches of which the suction cups are attached to, vulcanized before and after.
Pre-vulcanization means that the suction cups on the vulcanizing hook are pulled through the vulcanizing solution, while during post-vulcanizing the article remains in the solution for 10 to 30 seconds, depending on the strength. This is necessary because otherwise the rubber would shrink if it were to come into the strong solution for a long time without interruption. Between the two vulcanizations, the suction cups are placed on pegs that are in boards to dry.
This has the disadvantage that a round, unsightly spot was created at the tip of the rubber suction cup, and in addition, the pressure or weight of the suction cup, which was in a swollen state after vulcanization, thinned the tip, i.e. the spot on which a hole is made for drinking the milk. This has the disadvantage that as a result of the thinning of the rubber tip during use, the hole becomes slightly larger, so that too much milk gets through the hole. With regard to the manufacture, it does not matter whether through the thinned rubber area or through a somewhat thicker one. A hole is burned into the wall with a hot needle.
These deficiencies are now to be avoided by the present method for the production of seamless rubber suction cups using two vulcanizations by using a sieve-shaped sheet metal in the holes of which the suction cups are inserted and the drying of the rubber suction cups, which are used during the first vulcanization The inner wall of the mouthpiece is provided with ribs, takes place on boards with holes, while the second vulcanization takes place by means of vulcanizing hooks.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the rubber teat produced by the present method is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section, Fig. 2 shows a cross section through the mouth piece of the teat along the line A-B of FIG.
The wall of the tip a (Fig. 1) of the suction cup is provided is uniformly thick everywhere. The ribs U (Fig. 1 and 2) are standing on the inner wall of the mouthpiece and have the purpose of preventing the squeezing of the teat by the child's lips when drinking, so that the milk flow is no longer blocked, as with the smooth teats becomes.
In the present method, the suction cups are held in a sieve-shaped sheet metal for the first time and then immersed in the vulcanization solution in order to be vulcanized and then shaken off. The suction cups are then placed on boards with holes to dry them. The second vulcanization is then carried out with vulcanization hooks.
