Drive device for the depositing device of straight cigarette machines. As is known, the cigarettes emerging from the line channel of the line cigarette machine are conveyed to a deposit point by means of a depositing device. If it is a question of cigarettes with a mouthpiece covering, then this depositing device also takes on the task of separating the cigarettes into two stacks with mouthpieces in the same direction.
The laying device consists of a moving body, the speed of which is related to the speed of the strand. The depositing device can be designed in various ways; it can for example consist of a drum, which is equipped on its circumference with chambers for receiving a cigarette.
It can also be in a turntable, on the circumference of which means are provided for grabbing the incoming cigarettes, which deliver the cigarettes to the storage location after a predetermined 'further rotation of the turntable. If the strand speed is changed, the speed of the depositing device must naturally also be changed accordingly so that the chambers, grippers or the like of the depositing device are always in the correct working rhythm with the strand advance.
The regulation can be achieved simply by connecting the drive of the depositing device to the drive for the strand formation, whereby a corresponding change in the speed of the depositing device occurs automatically when the strand speed is changed.
However, it must now be considered that the change in the strand speed has another consequence, which is that the cigarettes emerging from the strand channel cover a trajectory before they come into contact with the depositing device. The trajectory increases with increasing strand speed greater, from which it follows that the times which the cigarettes use on their way from the strand channel to the depositing device change.
As soon as the machine is working at the new speed after the change in speed has taken place, the time which the cigarette needs to travel from the strand channel to the depositing device becomes constant again. If one were to simply change the speed of the depositing device accordingly when changing the line speed, the changed flight time would not be taken into account. After the speed change has taken place, the cigarette would no longer go to the place of the storage device that is considered for its inclusion.
A compensation must take place beforehand by first forcing the depositing device to remain a little behind at increased strand speed, corresponding to the longer period of time for covering the path of the cigarettes from the channel to the depositing device. Conversely, when the line speed decreases, the depositing device must lead a little, corresponding to the shorter flight time of the cigarettes.
As soon as the correct ratio is established, the speeds of the strand and the laying device must match.
The invention aims to bring about the compensation described. For this purpose, a differential gear is switched on between a drive shaft of the machine and that of the depositing device and connected to a control device of the machine in such a way that when the machine changes speed in the sense of increasing the speed, a temporary retardation and when changing speed in the sense of the Decrease in speed a temporary advance of the depositing device takes place.
To explain the invention in more detail, the figures of the drawing relating to a Ausführungsbei are used. Fig. 1 shows the relationship between the drive device and the drives of the machine BEZW. the drives of the depositing device. Fig. 2 is a vertical cross-section along the line 2-2 of FIG. 1 on a smaller scale, and Fig. 3 is a vertical cross-section along the line 3-3 of FIG. 1, also if on a smaller scale.
The shaft is driven from the drive shaft of the machine (not shown) by known means, e.g. B. Gear counter gears, rotated continuously. From this shaft held captive in the bearing l, the rotation is to be carried over to the coaxial shaft i, which is in your bearing na. The transmission takes place through the bevel gears e, f, g.
The two bevel gears g and f sit on the ends of the shafts i and 1i, while the bevel gear e, which meshes with these two bevel gears, is carried by a bolt, which is in the box p. This sleeve is carried by a U-shaped bracket d. The bevel gear e is arranged on your bolt o freely rotatable.
The bracket d encompasses the bearings l and ju with its two eyes d ', so that the bracket can swing uni the longitudinal axes of the shafts 1a and i. If the bracket is pivoted in one direction or the other along the longitudinal axis of the shafts 1r and i, the bevel gear e is taken along; it rolls off the bevel gears f and g.
The bracket usually assumes the position shown in FIG. 1 in that it rests on a projection r with an adjusting screw q. In this position, the shaft l (through the bevel gears e, f, y their rotation to the shaft i.
But as soon as the bracket d is pivoted to one side or the other and the bevel gear e rolls on the drive bevel gear, an acceleration or a delay in the transmission of the rotary movement is caused in a known manner, so that the shaft i either, is rotated faster or slower than before.
The projection r consists of a lever which, with one eye v ', does not grasp the bearing t, that is to say sits on the bearing L such that it can pivot. At the free end the lever carries a roller e; with which he rests on a lifting disk L designed as a sector. This lifting disc is fastened on an axis k be which is held captive in the camp s. An adjusting lever a sits on the axle.
The adjusting lever a is the starter lever of the machine, so that by turning the axis k, the machine is set in motion respectively. the (T 'speed of the machine is regulated. For example, by turning the axis k, the drive belt of the machine can be shifted from the idle pulley to a drive pulley, and by further turning it can be moved to another drive pulley which provides a higher speed, etc.
Since the lifting sector b is now attached to the axis k , it is inevitably also set by the adjusting lever a. The adjustment of the sector b has the effect that the lever v , whose role rests on the lifting surface of the sector, is also swung out. The swinging of the lever v, however, causes the bracket d to be carried along. However, if the bracket d is rotated about the longitudinal centers of the shafts h and i, the bevel gear e rolls on the bevel gears f, g, and there is an acceleration or deceleration in the transmission of the movement from wave h to wave i.
It is inevitably and automatically the drive to the shaft i depending on the speed setting of the cigarette machine.
The shaft i drives the depositing device, i. H. the device that picks up the cigarettes delivered from the strand chute and conveys them to the depositing point. The parts are set against each other in such a way that when the lever a is rotated in the sense of increasing the speed of the machine, the bracket d is pivoted so that the shaft i remains temporarily behind, while the setting of the lever a in the sense the decrease in speed a temporary lead of the wave i takes place.
