Strangzigarettenmasehine.

Strand cigarette mashine.
The effort to keep the tobacco rod in the cigarette machine in terms of its density and
Making the cross-section uniform leads to spiked spreader rollers 1 to 2 m long. Since the longitudinal extension of the tobacco spreader is dependent on the length of the spreader rollers arranged in it and the tobacco spreader was previously arranged on the cigarette machine frame in such a way that the strand channel assigned to the tobacco spreader is in front of the actual cigarette making device, very long cigarette machines were obtained, which not only because of their large space requirements are undesirable, but were difficult to monitor.
According to the invention, this deficiency is eliminated in that the tobacco spreader is arranged under the device forming the cigarette rod. In this way, not only a more compact design of the cigarette machine is achieved, but the parts of the machine that are to be constantly monitored have been moved together so that the operator hardly needs to change their position significantly when checking. The arrangement of the tobacco spreader below

the beater roller 14 is removed from the spreader roller 11 and sprinkled on a roller 15 equipped with a striking surface, which flings the tobacco away in the manner shown in FIG.
As is known, the spinning causes the tobacco parts to be separated in such a way that the heavier rib parts get into a storage container 16, while the lighter cut tobacco parts fall onto the conveyor belt 17, which guides the tobacco in a layer under a separator magnet 18 to the beater roller 19. The tobacco gets into the tobacco channel 20, the side walls of which are placed at an angle to one another like a funnel. The bottom of the channel 20 is formed in a known manner by the upper run of a conveyor belt 21 (FIGS. 7 and 8). This conveyor belt 21 guides the tobacco in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 1 to the point indicated by a in FIG. 1, where the tobacco stream is guided into the groove-like groove 22 of a conveyor disk 24 to 26 rotating in the direction of the arrow.
The conveyor belt 21 wraps around the conveyor disk 24-26 by approximately 180 degrees of central angle and is then finally guided back to the start of the strand channel at $ (: FIG. 1) via the guide rollers 23.
The conveyor disk having the groove 22 (FIGS. 5 and 6) consists of the two outer disks 24 and 25 and the intermediate disk 26, which is smaller in diameter. The disk 24 is rotatably mounted on the axle journal 27 fastened in the machine frame and has a drive ring gear 28, which is set in circulation by the machine drive. The disk 24 is connected to the disk 25 by a pin 29 equipped with a sliding block 29 ′, which in turn can be rotated about the axis 27 and is carried along by the disk 24. An eccentric 30, the eccentricity of which can be adjusted by the adjusting screw 31, is seated on the axis of rotation 27 in the area of the disk 26.
On the eccentric 30, the disc 26 is rotatably mounted, which

the groove lying between the disks 24 and 25 gradually becomes flatter from bottom to top (cf. in particular also FIG. 1). The upper apex of the disks 24 to 26 is assigned the bridge 33, over which the conveyor belt 21 runs and the tobacco stream 34 into the strand forming unit, i.e. i. introduces the format 35 into which the paper strip 5 coming from the printing apparatus 3 is also guided over the roller 36. The format 35 is followed by the adhesive container 37, the cutter 38 and finally the depositing device 39 in the direction of the arrow 4 shown in FIG.
It can be seen from the figures described that the new arrangement of the tobacco spreader achieves a more compact design of the otherwise relatively long rod cigarette machine. As FIG. 3 shows, the pouring opening of the tobacco spreader is located approximately at the level of the cigarette rod.
According to FIG. 4, any differently designed tobacco spreader can also be used. In this embodiment, a further smaller spreader roller 40 is arranged above the spreader roller 11, with which the scraper roller 41 works together. Two tobacco streams are generated from the spiked spreader rollers 11 and 40 by means of the beater rollers 42 and 43 and reach the conveyor belt 17.
In order to avoid any difficulties that could arise when transferring the tobacco stream 34 from the conveyor disk 24 to 26 to the format 35, the cigarette paper strips 5 coming from the printing apparatus 3 can also be fed to the conveyor disk 24 to 26, as shown in FIG 9 is shown. As a result, the tobacco rod receives a secure base from the cigarette paper strips which are also detached, so that any jams in the area of the bridge 33 which connects the conveyor disk 24 to 26 with the format 35 are avoided.
