'' experienced and facility for processing peat, lignite and similar materials. The invention relates to a method which differs from these known methods and gives a better product.
According to the invention, the raw mass, without being exposed to substantial pressure, is gradually cut so finely that practically all fibers are cut and exposed and the mass is given the composition of a thin slurry which is passed through an extruder and cut into pieces that are air dried.
To carry out this method: for processing peat, lignite or similar materials, a device is suitable, which is characterized by a receiving device for the raw material and several containers equipped with alternately moving knives made of high carbon steel, the knives against a plate for For example, made of hardwood or material similar to hardwood, move and have a direction of movement that is not completely perpendicular to the knife-edge and the cutting containers are connected to one another by containers equipped with conveying devices,
which have a spacious connection with the cutting containers, the latter of which is connected to an extrusion press.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the undersigned voltage, which represents an exemplary embodiment of a machine.
Fig. 1 is a floor plan, partly also a horizontal section of the entire facility; Figs. 2 and 4 show vertical sections through a cutting cylinder, respectively, near the lines I-I-11 and IV-IV of Fig. 3; Fig. 3 is a plan view of a cutting cylinder.
The device shown contains a mixing container a, cutting container (cylinder) <I> b, </I> d, <I> f </I> and according to the conveying container c, e and g between the cylinders and the extrusion press i .. The whole facility is built on a cart w with wheels m.

<tb> rin <SEP> attached to the <SEP> plate <SEP> 4 <SEP>. <SEP> This <SEP> is <SEP> in <SEP> a little smaller than the diameter of the container and receives at the same time a back and forth movement through the (inclined) bars 10 when going up and down.
When the knives are in the lowest possible position, the plate 4 lies just above the guide frame 9, which can move back and forth between the flanges 15 and 16 with which the two parts of the cutting container are joined together.
When the slightly reciprocating knife goes up and down, the guide frame 9 is also moved back and forth because the slots 11 in the guide frame are no longer than the knives and therefore have to follow the back and forth movement of the knives. However, the plate 9 is sufficiently large to always form a seal for the lower part of the cutting container. This is closed at the bottom by a base plate 17, between which and the cylinder jacket the replaceable base made of hardwood 6 is inserted.
An elastic intermediate layer 8 makes it possible that the knives always touch the wooden floor, even if it starts to wear out. The cutting containers are attached to the floor 7 of the wagon w like the other apparatus.
The end product of the processing shows a very large, contracting capacity, which is why the briquettes lose water even in damp weather and consequently dry to below 10% moisture and can be stacked after a few days. The getrockne th briquettes have an extraordinarily ge ringes absorbing capacity, the knives in the cutting containers can also move back and forth instead of moving up and down and also have different shapes than the ones shown. For example, if they move separately or in groups, they do not need to be parallel. The knives can also be curved, for example in the form of parallel cylinders that move upwards and downwards.
Rotate a little around its axis. The number of cutting containers can be changed depending on the design and the mass to be processed, in accordance with this the number of conveying containers. Instead of cylindrical cutting containers, other shapes can also be used, for example containers with a parallelogram cross-section, where all knives can have the same length and the movement of the machine is made easier.
