Description
Method and device for crowning pierced gemstones for technical purposes. The present invention comprises a method and a device for Rombie Ren pierced gemstones for technical purposes, for example for watchmaking and meter manufacturing. According to the present method, the work piece, which is loosely rotatably mounted on a tight wire, is pressed with the side to be bamboo against a groove arranged on the circumference of a rotating grinding wheel.
In FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing, the method is illustrated, for example, on a device suitable for carrying out the method.
It denotes 1 (FIGS. 1 and 2) a tightly tensioned wire on which a number of stones 3 to be cambered, already drilled and creused are pushed loosely rotatably. In the drawing, only one such stone can be seen at the processing point. On one side of the wire there is a rapidly rotating grinding disk 3, for. B. made of copper, and on the opposite side a counter pressure roller 4 made of rubber. The part described so far, the device for performing the method, is known.
In known devices of this type before the edges of the grinding wheel are either sharp, broken or beveled. In the grinding wheel of the devices shown, hollow grooves 5 are now attached to the end faces on the peripheral edges, the profile of which speaks exactly to the one of the crown to be produced.
According to FIG. 1, the fillets are deeper than in the example according to FIG. 2 and serve primarily to produce the crowning of the workpiece on the creusierten side, while the flatter flutes according to FIG. 2 advantageously serve to crown the workpiece on the opposite side.
The process with the aid of the dargestell th devices is carried out in such a way that the workpiece with the side of the grinding wheel to be processed is turned and the circumference of the rubber roller lying on the wire is pressed against the grinding wheel in its near groove . There. the fillet is provided with abrasives, the stone is ground and given a shape corresponding to the profile of the fillet.
Instead of two fillets on the Stirnsei th, the grinding wheel could have only one hollow throat, and this could either be located on the circumference and on one of the end faces of the grinding wheel or on the surrounding area of the same in the form of a correspondingly profiled groove.
