Augenschutzvorrichtung. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine an einer Kopfbedeckung anzubringende Augenschutzvorrichtung, z. B. für Motor fahrer, Sportsleute und Arbeiter. Die Vor richtung weist einen Streifen aus biegsamem, durchsichtigem Material, z. B. Zelluloid, auf, dessen Enden im Innern von bereits im Han del befindlichen Kopfbedeckungen üblicher Form, wie Sportsmützen, Filzhüte etc., be festigt werden kann, derart, dass der Strei fen in die Gebrauchslage vor die Augen und, wenn die Schutzvorrichtung nicht zur Ver wendung kommt, in das Innere der Kopf bedeckung geschwenkt werden kann.
Die Vorrichtung ist in letzterem Falle von aussen nicht sichtbar, und die Kopfbedeckung be hält ihre übliche Form. Ein wesentlicher Vorteil der Vorrichtung gegenüber ähn lichen Vorrichtungen besteht darin, dass sie jederzeit zur Verfügung steht und zum Ge brauch bereit ist, d.ass sie sehr rasch und be quem in und aus der Gebrauchslage gestellt werden kann.
In der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfin- dungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 dieselbe an einer Sports.mütze an gebracht, zum Teil im Schnitt; Fig. 2 zeigt dieselbe von der Kopfbedek- kung losgelöst in Ansicht; Fig. 3 zeigt dieselbe an einem Filzhut angebracht; Fig. 4 zeigt ein Detail im Schnitt.
Die dargestellte Vorrichtung besitzt einen Streifen 1, z. B. aus durchsichtigem Zel,lu- loid, das farblos oder auch gefärbt sein kann, wenn die Vorrichtung nicht nur als Schutz gegen Staub, sondern auch gegen das Blen den der Sonne, gegen das Blenden des Schnees etc. dienen ,soll. Der Streifen 1 weist an seiner untern Kante 7 eine Kerbe 2 auf, in welche in der Gebrauchslage der Vorrichtung die Nase eingetreten ist. Nahe den beiden Enden weist der Streifen 1 Löcher 5 auf, durch welche der Schaft 9 einer Schraube 3 gesteckt ist.
Auf dem Schaft 9 sitzt eine kleine Mutter, welche als Zierknopf etc. aus gebildet sein kann. Der Schaft 9 ist durch den untern Mützenrand gesteckt und hält den Streifen 1 so, dass er leicht in die Kappe a geschwenkt werden kann.
Die Ränder 7 däs Streifens 1 sind .mit je einer Borte 8 einge- fasst, welche das gute Anliegen des Strei fens 1 am Gesicht und bei 4 auch ain Schir:ii b der Kappe<I>a</I> sichert. Nahe den Enden des Streifens 1 sind ausserdem noch Löcher 10 vorgesehen, welche den Ein- und Austritt von Luft ermöglichen.
Fig. 3 zeigt die Vorrichtung an einem Herrenfilzhut angebracht. Die Befestigung und die Form derselben sind wie in betu; auf Fig. 1 beschrieben. Die Länge des Strei fens 1 zwischen den Löchern 5 entspricht annähernd genau dem halben innern Um fange der Kopfbedeckung. In der Gebrauchs lage wird der Streifen 1 vor die Augen ein gestellt, so dass die untere Kant ;e 7 auf den Backen und auf der Nase aufliegt, während die obere Kante 7 bei 4 am Rand c des Hutes anliegt.
Die Löcher 10 ermöglichen eine Zirkula tion der Luft hinter dem Streifen 1.
Wird die Schutzvorrichtung nicht ver wendet, so wird sie um die beiden Schrauben 3 nach innen geschwenkt in die in Fig. 1 durch punktierte Linien angedeutete Lage. Der Streifen 1, der biegsam ist, wird durch seine Spannung und durch Reibung am Hut festgehalten. Er hindert in dieser Lage den natürlichen Gebrauch der Kopfbedeckung in keiner Weise, ändert auch nicht das äussere Aussehen der Kopfbedeckung.
Der Vorteil der Vorrichtung gegenüber ähnlichen Vor richtungen besteht darin, dass sie leicht von jedermann an den bereits vorhandenen Kopfbedeckungen angebracht werden kann, dass sie bei Gebrauch ein weites Sehfeld er inöglicht und dass sie, wenn nicht im Ge brauch, die Kopflyedeckung nicht verunstal tet oder sonst. hinderlich wirkt.
Statt die Kanten 7 mit einer Borte 8 zu versehen, können die Kanten auch abgebogen oder umgebiii-di-it sein, insbesondere die jenige, die auf denn Gesicht aufruht.
