Die Fig. 1-4 zeigen das erste Beispiel in vier senkreohten Längsschnitten; dabei geben, Fig. 1 die Stellung der Vorrichtung bei Beginn des Pressenhubes wieder; die Fig. 2 und -3 zeigen zwei Zwischenstel lungen, und Fig. 4 die Stellung am Ende des Pressen hubes;
die F;g. 5 bis 8 zeigen das zweite Beispiel in vier senkrechten Längsschnitten, wobei Fig. 5 wieder die Stellung der Vorrich tung bei Beginn des Pressenhubes, die Fig. 6 und 7 zwei Zwischenstellungen, und Fig. B die Stellung am Ende des Pressen hubes wiedergeben;
EMI0001.0033
Die Büchse<I>g</I> enthält eine achsiale Bohrung<I>i</I> vom gleichen Durchmesser wie der umzu formende Werkstab.
Wie ersichtlich, erfolgen das Eindrücken des Werkstoffes in die Kopfform und die Fertigpressung bei einem und demselben Pressenhub, und zwar während einer Teil drehung der den Pressschlitten bewegenden Kurbelwelle; Vorpressung und Fertigpressung schliessen sich unmittelbar; d. h. ohne Pause, aneinander an;
Die Büchse<I>q</I> enthält eine Bohrung<I>i</I> vom gleichen Durchmesser wie der umzuformende Werkstab.
Natürlich sind mancherlei Abänderungen der gezeichneten Ausführungsbeispiele mög lich, ohne dass dadurch das Wesen der Er findung berührt wird. Zum Beispiel ist es bei der Ausführung nach Fig.5 bis 11 nicht nötig, dass die Pressfläche der Büchse q in der zurückgezogenen Stellung der letzteren mit der vorderen Stirnfläche der Hülse g ab schneidet, vielmehr könnte die Einrichtung auch derart sein;
Method and device for the production of rivets, screws and other bolt-shaped workpieces with head: The subject of the invention is a process for the production of such rivets, screws and other bolt-shaped work pieces with a head on the cold route and a device for performing this method.
The essence of the new process is that the reshaping of the work rod end to the head takes place in a single, continuous pressure in such a way that the work rod end, which is initially enclosed by a sleeve, comes out of the sleeve and is exerted only on the rod cross-section is pressed into the pot shape and spread out therein, and that immediately after this, the head is finished-pressed during the same press stroke by a pressure exerted on the full head surface.
In the drawing, two execution examples of an apparatus for performing the new method are shown.
1-4 show the first example in four vertical longitudinal sections; FIG. 1 shows the position of the device at the beginning of the press stroke; FIGS. 2 and -3 show two intermediate positions, and FIG. 4 shows the position at the end of the press stroke;
the F; g. 5 to 8 show the second example in four vertical longitudinal sections, FIG. 5 again showing the position of the device at the start of the press stroke, FIGS. 6 and 7 two intermediate positions, and FIG. B showing the position at the end of the press stroke;
Fig. 9 is an axial longitudinal section through the die and the front end of the bushing surrounding the ram in the end position of the tools and, on a larger scale, Figs. 10 and 11 finally illustrate a hexagonal screw head produced with the device according to Fig. 5-9 in side view and front view.
In FIGS. 1 to 4, a is the die arranged in the fixed frame wall of the press, in which the head shape a 'is cut out,
EMI0001.0033
and b the head of the reciprocating press bed r. In the slide head b, a chuck sleeve f 'is held exchangeably by means of the screw <I> d </I>, in which a second sleeve g is slidably guided.
The latter is under the action of a spring 1t., Which strives to vorzudriieken the sleeve g in the ge in Fig. 1 position drawn, which movement is limited by the serving as a stop inner end of the screw d.
The bushing <I> g </I> contains an axial bore <I> i </I> with the same diameter as the work rod to be formed. In the bore leads a pressure pin lt, which is supported with its rear end against a stronger bolt in, which in turn rests with its widened back n on an adjustable wedge o of the press slide c.
Pressure pin k and bolt in together form the pre-compression ram, which in turn serves as a finishing ram together with the sleeve g, which is designed in accordance with the end face of the finished shape of the head. The mode of operation of the device is as follows: Through the die a, the work rod _p is pushed as far in front of the known manner as it corresponds to the amount of material to be formed to the head.
Then the press casing c moves to the left against the workpiece, the bushing g first being slipped over the end of the work rod protruding from the die. The advance of the sleeve g is limited by a stop on the fixed die a (FIG. 3).
As the carriage c moves forward, the pressure pin <I> 7e </I> presses the material to be formed out of the sleeve g into the head shape a 'recessed in the die a and spreads it out therein, the sleeve g through the The pressure of the laterally bulged material against the action of the spring is pushed back approximately into the position shown in FIG.
Of course, the tension of the spring / t must be such that it allows this retrograde movement of the liner. In the position according to Figure 3, in which the front end of the pressure pin k is flush with the front face of the sleeve g, the rear neck y 'of the sleeve g rests on the shoulder m' of the bolt in,
so that now the sleeve g and the pressure pin k jointly frictionally engage against the die a. be moved forward. The sleeve g and the pressure pin h together form the ready-made pi efistem- pel, so that
During the last part of the stroke of the Prefa'schlittens c, the material, which is laterally bulged in the shape a, is completely spread out and pressed into its final shape. After pressing the head, the carriage c goes back with punch and sleeve, whereupon the work rod p is advanced and cut off in a known manner by the shank length of the desired bolt. Then the game described is repeated.
As can be seen, the pressing of the material into the head shape and the final pressing take place in one and the same press stroke, namely during a partial rotation of the crankshaft moving the press slide; Pre-pressing and final pressing close immediately; d. H. without pause, at each other;
it only changes the size of the printing area. The entire reshaping takes place in one uninterrupted process and for an extremely short period of time, where the material can flow well and harmful structural changes and stresses are avoided.
As a result, the workpieces produced using the new process have a high degree of strength and they do not need to be annealed. In addition, the new process has the advantage of a very large volume output, since a workpiece is completed with each press stroke. Furthermore, the tools remain, i.e. H. Head shape and prefl) - stamp, almost cold.
As a result, the tools are only subject to relatively little wear. At the same time, it is possible to further increase the working speed of the machine and thus the output.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 11, a is again the lylatrize arranged in the fixed (test wall). In it, the die a1 is recessed in such a way that the finishing punch must enter the die at the complete end of the mold.
are the head of the reciprocating press slide c and f a chuck held in the head exchangeable. In the latter there is a sleeve g, which is under the action of a spring. h stands, which tends to push the sleeve outwards, its outward movement is limited by the screw d engaging in a groove in the sleeve g.
In contrast to the example according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the sleeve g no longer forms part of the pre-fab punch, but serves only to limit the advance of a second sleeve immediately surrounding the pre-press die and at the same time also to close the die on the side of the first part of the pressing process. The bush q, which forms the actual press ram together with the pressure pin lc, is guided in it,
which is axially displaceable within certain limits in the sleeve g. The sleeve q is under the action of a compression spring r, which acts on its rear flange q1 and is supported against a shoulder of the sleeve g, which pierces the sleeve q into the sleeve g. A screw s engaging in a groove in the bushing q limits this movement so that, when at rest, the pressing surface of the bushing q is flush with the front face of the sleeve g.
The liner <I> q </I> contains a bore <I> i </I> with the same diameter as the workpiece to be formed. The pressure pin k, which rests with its rear end on the stronger bolt, which in turn is supported with its thicker part n against the adjustable wedge o of the press slide c, is guided in this bore again. The bolt <I> in </I> again has a shoulder in 'which, after a certain displacement of the bolt <I> on </I> and the push pin <I> k </I> in the bushing <I> q </I> hits the rear end of the latter and then takes the bush q with it in a force-fit manner.
The total length of the pressure pin k and that part of the bolt in front of the shoulder in 'is proportionate to this. the length of the stroke, independent of the sleeve q, of the pre-press ram formed by the pressure pin k and the bolt in, that the front end of the pressure pin k at the end of this stroke, d. b. when the bolt is positively coupled to the bushing q through its shoulder <I> m '</I>, until a certain amount has emerged from the bushing q.
The method of operation is as follows: After the material rod <I> p </I> to be formed has been advanced through the die a by the amount corresponding to the amount of material to be formed, the press slide c is turned to the left. moved against the die a, the sleeve and the sleeve g being slipped over the rod end protruding from the die.
As soon as the sleeve g hits the die a, the head shape recessed in this is closed laterally by the sleeve g, while the sleeve q does not yet enter the mold, so that the space enclosed by die a, sleeve g and sleeve q is in in the axial direction has a greater clear width than corresponds to the final height of the bolt head to be upset (Fig. 6).
By striking against the die a, the sleeve g and with it the bushing q are inhibited from moving further, while the press slide c moves with the bolt <B> in </B> and the pressure pin k while the spring <I is compressed > lt </I> moved on. In this case, the push pin <I> k </I> presses the end of the work piece protruding from the die <I> a </I> and protruding into the bore i of the sleeve q into the head shape a ', the material being in the Form spreads out in all directions (Fig. 7).
As soon as the material has been pressed into the shape a ', the pressure bolt m takes the bushing by means of its shoulder ml, which is now resting on the rear end of the bushing q, while compressing the spring <I> r </I> riding. As a result, the material located in the head shape is completely spread out and pressed in the head shape through the bushing q and pressure pin k, both of which now act like a common punch and as such enter the matrix a. H. transferred into its final form.
The press slide c then goes back to the right, with the sleeve q and sleeve g returning to their starting position (Fig. 5) under the action of the springs r and lt. Simultaneously with this, the advance of the work rod and the cutting of the finished workpiece is effected again by means of devices not shown in a known manner.
When the part of the work rod enclosed by the bushing q is pressed into the (reading form, the front end of the pressure pin k slightly protrudes from the bushing q (see FIGS. 7, 8 and 9), and it retains its position with reference to the sleeve q also during final pressing, as a result of which, as can be seen in particular from Fig. 9-11, a small indentation x is pressed into the end face of the bolt head, the base area of which corresponds to the shank cross section.
The associated elongation of the surface of the workpiece has the consequence that the ridge that forms on the end of the work rod p resting on the pressure pin k when the latter is pressed into the head shape by the material flowing into the unavoidable space between the pressure pin lc and the bore wall the liner q had formed disappears completely. The otherwise necessary special work process for the subsequent removal of the small annular ridge on the end face of the bolt head is omitted.
Of course, some modifications of the drawn embodiments are possible, please include without affecting the essence of the invention. For example, it is not necessary in the embodiment according to Figure 5 to 11 that the pressing surface of the sleeve q in the retracted position of the latter intersects with the front face of the sleeve g, but the device could also be such;
that the pressing surface of the bushing q lies back in relation to the front end of the sleeve g, whereby there is an even larger space between the bottom of the die form and the bushing q for the lateral outflow of the material compressed by the pressure bolt k. In this case, a device is also possible in which the sleeve q does not enter the die a at the final pressure.
Both embodiments of the new machine could also be modified in such a way that the work rod is fed through a special feed opening located on the side of the latter instead of through the die a. In this case, the master pieces are cut from in a known manner before processing by the pressing tools. The cut work pieces are then by a known feeder between the die a. and bushing g respectively. q brought, the latter being pushed onto the workpiece, whereupon the pressing process takes place in the manner described.
The device that the pre-press ram k to form a recess on the end face of the screw head or the like emerges from the bushing surrounding the ram, can also be made in the embodiment according to FIGS. This device can also be used to attach a slot for inserting a screwdriver or a polygonal hole for inserting a key when upsetting heads on bolts and the like on the face of the head.
In the former case, the pre-press ram k has a protruding rib on its pressure surface for pressing a slot into the bolt head, while in the latter case the pre-press ram k and the bore i of the bushing g or q surrounding it have an angular cross-section, whereby the pre-press ram k protrudes from the sleeve by the desired hole depth.
