Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 107205. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Schwefelfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass das bis anhin unbekannte Indophenol aus p-Chlor-o, o'-Dito- lylamin, herstellbar zum Beispiel durch Kon densation von p-Chlor-o. o'-Ditolylamin mit Nitrosophenol in Schwefelsäure, beim Erhitzen mit Alkalipolysulfiden einen neuen Schwefel farbstoff liefert. Dieser bildet ein blaues Pul ver und färbt Baumwolle im Schwefelnatrium bade hervorragend wasch- und seifenkochecht lebhaft blau.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 43 Teile des Indophenols, erhalten aus p-Chlor-o.o'-Ditolylamin und Nitrosophenol, werden mit einer Polysulfidlösung, hergestellt aus 72 Teilen kristallisiertem Schwefelnatrium und 43 Teilen Schwefel, bis zum Siedepunkt 125 C eingekocht und dann am rückflie ssenden Kühler während 12-20 Stunden ge kocht. Aus der mit Wasser verdünnten Schmelze kann der Farbstoff durch Aussäuern oder Ausblasen mit Luft abgeschieden werden.
Derselbe Farbstoff entsteht, wenn man vom entsprechenden Leukoindophenol ausgeht, oder wenn man die Schwefelung in Gegenwart von Alkohol durchführt.

<I> Example: </I> 43 parts of indophenol, obtained from p-chloro-o.o'-ditolylamine and nitrosophenol, are mixed with a polysulphide solution made from 72 parts of crystallized sodium sulphide and 43 parts of sulfur, up to a boiling point of 125 ° C boiled down and then boiled on the refluxing cooler for 12-20 hours. The dye can be separated from the melt diluted with water by acidifying it or blowing it out with air.
The same dye is produced if you start from the corresponding leucoindophenol, or if you carry out the sulphurisation in the presence of alcohol.
