Le fourneau -de cuisine comporte dans sa partie supérieure, un foyer 1 avec son système de grille et son cendrier 2; sur un des côtés est adaptée une bouillotte 3 et die l'autre il comporte une paroi de briques réfractaires munie -d'un passage 4 reliant ce foyer à une chambre 5 pouvant être utilisée comme four.
Cette chambre est entièrement en briques ré fractaires et son accès possible au moyen d'une porte 6 mobile sur un axe 7. La partie supérieure du fourneau est recouverte en tièrement par une plaque métallique 8 dans laquelle sont ménagées les ouvertures où sont placées les marmites destinées à recevoir les aliments que l'on veut cuire.
A l'usage de fourneau de cuisine, il faut fermer l'ouverture 4, les bascules 9 et 10 et Ouvrir le.passage 11 au moyen du tiroir 12; les gaz du foyer 1 pénètrent alors sous la plaque métallique 8, détournée par la bascule 9 ils passent par L'ouverture 11 -at sont éva cués par 1a cheminée 13.
Comme four de pâtissier, il faut ouvrir l'ouverture 4, fermer le passage 11 est la bas cule 10; les gaz @du foyer 1 sont ainsi éva- cu6s par la cheminée 13 après avoir passé autour du four 14 et le passage 15.
Suivant l'emploi que l'on veut faire de la chambre 5, on introduit une ohemise mé tallique 16 comportant ses trois parois et un fond, tandis que la partie postérieure se trouve close par la porte 6 de la chambre.5.
La partie inférieure -du fâurneau est cons- tituée par une ehambre de cuisson 17 qui sert en même temps de foyer.

la chambre 17 com porte montre une ouverture 22 faisant appel ,d'air pour favoriser la combustion. Les gaz sont évacués par un canal vertical 23 abou tissant dans la, cheminée 13; ce canal peut être obturé à volonté par le tiroir 12 actionné à la main par une poignée extérieure 24, lorsque la chambre inférieure 17 n'est pas en action.
L'appareil comporte à sa partïe infé rieure des pieds 25 muni: de roulettes facili tant le transport.
Lorsque l'on veut utiliser l'appareil comme fourneau de cuisine, on introduit le combustible dans le foyer supérieur 1; par contre si l'on veut l'utiliser comme four à pain, on introduit le .combustible dans la chambre inférieure 17. Ces deux actions peuvent être combinées; on augmente alors la, température du four 5 qui petit être utilisé comme four à pain.
