Description
Fig. 1 ein Grundriss; Fig. 2 eine Rückansicht; Fig. 3 ein Schnitt X-Y (Fig. 1).
Cutting machine for cropping images on paper and similar material. The invention relates to a cutting machine for cropping images on paper and similar material, e.g. B. of photographic prints.
According to the invention, the machine has an adjusting mechanism such that after its use and after an edge line of the image applied to a surface is brought into line with a reference edge of the machine serving as a line of sight (e.g. a knife or a stretched wire) When the machine is subsequently used, a cut is created coincident with or parallel to the mentioned edge line of the picture.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. 1 is a plan view; Fig. 2 is a rear view; Fig. 3 is a section X-Y (Fig. 1).
The plate A, which is rotatably arranged with hinges a on the blocks b of the plate B and is pressed by the spring c into its upper end position, carries a knife C, which is slidable in oblique slots d. This shift is caused by the guide curve D, against which the knife is pressed by the spring e. During the downward movement of the plate A, the edge f of the knife C comes to rest on the curve D ; During the further movement, the knife C is pushed to the side and moves forward as a result of the inclined slots.
The curve D merges into a vertical straight line, so that C then leans against this line and now no longer changes its position relative to A. Only now does knife C come into contact with knife E, which is itself fastened with springs on a plate F which can also be displaced in inclined slots and which also bears curve D.
Because knife E and curve D are arranged on the same plate, which can be displaced in the same direction as knife C, knives C and E are always in the same position against each other when cutting, because if the plate .i4 'is set shifted by, for example, x mm when pressed down, knife C also moves x mm in the same direction before it hits knife E. The image to be trimmed is placed on plate A under knife C and held by hand in such a position
that the edge of the image is brought into line with the cutting edge of the knife. The lid is then pressed down, whereupon the process described takes place.
The plate F is moved by turning the lever G, which is mounted in J and engages in slot 0 of the plate. A spring H is attached to G and carries a pin K on the underside which engages in notches L in plate H so that lever G and thus plate F are fixed. A window N in the spring A makes it possible to read each of the numbers made to number the incisions L, which indicates how much the knife C will move forward when it is pressed down.
