La fig. 1 représente, partiellement en coupe, la première forme d'exécution; Les fig. 2 et 3 représentent partiellement en coupe des détails; La fig. 4 est une coupe suivant la ligne l- de la fig. 1; La fig. 5 montre un détail vu dans la direction de la flèche a de la fig. 1 avec coupe partielle, suivant la ligne Y-Y de la fi 0% l; La fig. 6 est une vue externe de la ser rure;
Safety lock: The present invention relates to a safety lock, comprising a safety device, which prevents unauthorized persons from opening the lock also in the event that they are in possession of a false key.
Two embodiments of the object of the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 shows, partially in section, the first embodiment; Figs. 2 and 3 show details partially in section; Fig. 4 is a section taken along line l- of FIG. 1; Fig. 5 shows a detail seen in the direction of the arrow a in FIG. 1 with partial cut, along line Y-Y of fi 0% l; Fig. 6 is an external view of the lock;
Fig. 7 shows in perspective the second embodiment; Fig. 8 is a section taken along line 7, -Z of FIG. 7; Fig. 9 is a detail in plan. In the first embodiment (fig. 1. to 6), the safety device comprises a rod 1 (fig. 2) provided at one of its ends with a cylindrical block 13 provided with a radial slot 14. The block 13 is provided at its free end face with a prismatic projection 15 terminating in a conical point 16.
This point 16 engages in a conical recess 17 made in the bottom of a box 18 fixed to the bottom plate 61 of the lock. In the box 18 is disposed a res serves as a coil 19 (fig. 1 and 3), which tends to push towards the block 13 a disc 20 provided with a central hole, the shape of which corresponds to that of the cross section of the projection 15 freely passing through said hole. This says that carries a peripheral edge 21 at a sharp angle. On the surface adjacent to block 13, the disc is provided with a radial rib 5 (Fig. 2), which engages with slot 14 of block 13.
Around the rod 1 is arranged a res out 22 resting, on the one hand, against the block 13 and, on the other hand, against a ring 10 spun on the rod 1. This ring is provided at its inner circumference two pins 62 diametrically opposed to each other, and engaging in longitudinal grooves 36 of the rod 1, so as to allow the ring to slide along the rod and to catch it to turn in relation to it.
One of the faces of the ring 10 is for a view of radial notches 23 at sharp angles, engaging in similar notches made in a collar 63 integral with a disc 11. This disc is integral with one of the - ends of a tube 2 enveloping the spring 22 and the rod 1, and against the other end of this tube 2 applies the block 13. The tube 2 with the disc 11 are held in place by a ring 24 integral of a tube 4. This crown 24 is held in place by another crown, 12, fixed to the. door wall, box, cabinet etc. which is my lock. The tube 2 is arranged freely in a tube 3, one of the ends of which extends to the disc 11, while its other end is secured to a cylindrical box without a bottom 6.
The tube 4, surrounding the tube 3, extends to this box 6 and ren closes a spring 7, which. is based, on the one hand, against the disc 11 and, on the other hand, contr; a ring 9. This ring is threaded onto the tube a and provided at its outer circumference with two projections 38 (FIG. 4) diametrically op posed to each other, and engaging in corresponding longitudinal grooves of the. inner tube wall 4.
The ring 9 is provided with notches engaging in similar notches 64 of a disk 8 fixed to the cover of the box 6. Said cover is drilled in the center, in order to pe @ = put the passage of the tube 2. The box 6 carries on its periphery longitudinal windows 25 in which can slide the lateral projections 26 of a cylindrical block 27 provided with a central hole to accommodate the block 13 of the rod 1. The block 27 has at its. surface opposite the disc 20, a circular groove 39 and a radial groove 29. This face of the block 27 is shown in FIG. 5. Between the block 27 and the cover of the box 6 is disposed a spring 30, which holds the block 2'7 clans. position shown in fig. 1.
The lock further comprises the latch 42 provided with a hook 31 and actuated in the usual manner by the key 65.
The operation of the embodiment described is as follows: The spring 22, pushing the ring 10 against the rim 63 of the disc 23, integrates the rod 1 of the disc 11 and the spring 7, pushing the ring 9 against the disc 8, makes the crown 24 and the tube 4 of the tube 3 integral. Consequently, there are two groups of members, which can be actuated independently of one another, namely: a ) < / I> A first group integral with the say 11, comprising the tube 2, the rod 1 with the block 13, the projection 15, the disc 20 and the spring 19.
b) A second group integral with the crown 24, comprising the tubes 4 and 3, the box 6, the block 27 and the spring 30.
Signs, for example letters or numbers, are marked both on the fixed crown 12 and on the crown 24, and finally also on the disc 11. The safety device is mounted in such a way that it is possible, by combining d 'in a determined manner the signs of said crowns and of the disc Il carry in the path of the hook 31 of the latch 42 of the lock the radial projection 5 of the disc 20, as well as the radial groove 29 of the block 27. This, during the opening maneuver of the lock, will allow said hook 31 to lower the disc 20 and to penetrate into the dia métrale slot 14 of the block 13 and to slide in the radial groove 29 of the block 27 without doing so. engage the sharp-angled edges 21, respectively 40, of the disc 20 and of the block 27.
When the lock is closed, the latch 42 with the hook 31 is in the position indicated in dotted lines (fig. 1). So, in order to place the. lock in the safety position, the disc 11 and the crown 24 are rotated, also changing, in this way, the position of the disc 20 and of the block 27.
A malicious person in possession of a false key after having made the lock 42 travel a small part of its travel will carry the hook 31 in the locking position shown in solid lines in FIG. 1. Then the lock will no longer be able to move, either in one direction or the other, because the double hook 31 will remain trapped between the rim 40 of the block 27 and the rim 21 of the disc 20.
If the malicious person then wanted to try to unlock the hook, he could not do so because, by turning the crown 24, the hook would strike against the walls 39 'and 39 "(fig. 5) of the groove 29 and against the radial rib 5 of disk 20. In this way, the key will remain trapped in the lock.
To fix the device in the unlocked position, that is to say in position, such that the safety device is inactive, one uses a screw 32, which passes through the bottom of the box 16, as well as 'a threaded hole in the disc 20 and rests against the block 27. By turning the screw in one direction, the latter will lower the disc 20 and at the same time, by its end abutting against the block 27, will lift the latter, as shown in fig. 3. Then the hook 31 will be able to move without engaging with the edges of the disc 20 and the block 27.
By turning said screw 32 in the opposite direction, the members 27 and 21 will be transferred by the springs 19 and 30 to the position capable of locking, shown in FIG. 1.
The connection between the disc 11 and the ring 10 and between the rings 8 and 9 can also be established with any suitable known means.
It goes without saying that one could also construct the safety device of the lock, so as to include a single group of locking elements.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 7, 8 and 9 relates to such a lock, the safety device of which is provided with a single group of locking members and aims to avoid the need to drill, through the wall to which one wants apply the lock, two separate holes, one for inserting the key and the other for the safety device.
According to this embodiment, there are on the usual cylinder 48 provided with the hole for inserting the key, two coaxial tubes 46 and 47 connected to each other by means of tabs 50 provided in the tube 47 and engaging freely in corresponding slots of the tube 46, said tabs and slots making it possible to adjust the position of said tubes according to the various thicknesses of the walls, to which the lock is to be applied.
A crown 11 surrounding the free end of the cylinder 48 is integral with the tube 47. By turning this crown, a train of toothed wheels 51, 45, 44 is rotated, 51 of which is integral with the tube 46. The wheel 44 is voted on. in 53 on the plate 52 of the lock. On the pivot 53 and inside the lock box is mounted a star wheel 54. In one of the sinuosities located between two consecutive teeth of this wheel is engaged one of the ends of a spring 55, the other end of which is fixed to a block 13. A prirunatic stud, not shown in the drawing and integral with the block 13 engages in a hole of corresponding section made axially in the pivot 53.
The block 13 is provided with a radial slot 14 in which engages an edge 5 projecting from a disc 20 and similar to that of the disc 20 of the preceding figures. This disc is provided in the center with an elliptical hole 58 (fig. 9) corresponding to the cross section of an extension 1.5 of the block 13. A coil spring 19 pushes said disc, so as to force its edge 5 of engage in the aforementioned slot 14. The extension 15 is integral with a rod 56 passing through a hole in the base plate 59 of the lock and connected to a threaded cylindrical block 60, onto which a ring 57 is screwed.
The operation of the second embodiment is similar to that of the first. The engagement (the hook 31 of the red worm 42 with the flange 21 of the disc 20 takes place in the same way. There are only the following differences: The rotation of the crown II is transferred to the block 13 and to the disc 20 using das tubes 47, 46 and wheels 51, 45 and 44.
In order to bring the rim 21 of the disc 20 out of the path of the hook 31 to prevent the latter (engaging it with said rim, the rod 56 and all the parts which are secured thereto by rotating are axially displaced. one of the members 3?, 57 respectively, and keeping the other fixed, the axial adjustment of the rod 56 with respect to the pivot 13 is maintained, when the rod is moved axially, by the prismatic pin sliding in the axial hole of the pivot 53.
