d'autre part, et après un laps de temps déterminé à partir du moment de cette mise en marche du mouvement d'horlogerie, la saillie abandonne la bascule qui laisse l'or gane avertisseur revenir en position de non avertissement sous l'action de son ressort. Une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in= vention est représentée, schématiquement et à titre d'exemple, au dessin annexé dans le quel: Fig. 1 est une vue en plan du mécanisme, les organes étant montrés en position de re montage, l'aiguille indicatrice à zéro, l'or gane avertisseur optique en position clé non avertissement et le compteur prêt à marcher;
Warning counter with optical signal, to monitor time intervals such as the duration of telephone conversations. The present invention relates to a warning counter with optical signal, for monitoring time intervals such as the duration of telephone conversations, comprising a clockwork movement for actuating at least one time indicating hand, a control member of the clock. mo bile optical warning device and device.
According to the invention, the warning counter has the particular feature that a rotary cam with at least one control projection and -actuated by the clockwork movement, cooperates with a latch arranged to act on the optical warning member which is under the action of a res out tending to keep it in the key non-warning position, the whole arranged in such a way that, by the operation of the control member of the counter, the clock movement having been wound up, the indicating hand brought to zero, then the clockwork movement started, on the one hand, and at a given moment, the projection of the cam engages with the rocker which actuates the optical warning device and brings it against its spring, in the warning position, and,
on the other hand, and after a determined period of time from the moment of this starting of the clockwork movement, the projection abandons the latch which lets the warning organ return to the non-warning position under the action of its spring. An embodiment of the object of the in = vention is shown, schematically and by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which: FIG. 1 is a plan view of the mechanism, the components being shown in the re-assembly position, the indicator hand at zero, the optical warning device in the key non-warning position and the meter ready to operate;
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the mechanism, the members being shown during operation of the counter, the optical warning member being in the warning position; Fi-. 3 is an exterior overall view of the counter, taken from the side of the dial.
This embodiment comprises an indicator needle 1 integral, in rotation around the axis 2, with a toothed pinion 3 in engagement with the arcuate teeth 4 of a toothed sector 5 fixed on the rotating axis 6 to the interior of the pillar 7. This sector is under the action of a coil motor spring 8 attached at 9 to the sector and at 10 to a fixed member; this spring tends to rotate the sector from right to left (fig. 1).
A circular cam 22 is integral in rotation with the hand 1 and has four equidistant teeth 23, and a balance 11 of a clockwork movement, through the intermediary of members not shown in the drawing, adjusts in a manner. known the march to the right of hand 1 on a graduated dial divided into twelve equal parts or minutes, as seen in fig. 3.
A rack- 14 is engaged, by its toothing 13, with a second arcuate toothing 1 :? of sector 5, and can slide along the. rectilinear groove 15 of a plate 44. An external pusher 20, engaged on the barrel 19 of the box 21 of the meter, is under the action of a coil spring 18 which tends to move it away from the box ; this pusher carries a rod 16 with a shoulder 17 and, against the spring 18, allows the rack 1.4 to be pushed along the groove 15.
A pallet 29 is pivoted at 30 and is under the action of a spring; 35 tending to make it turn to the left; it has two bosses 32 and 33 coming into engagement with the nozzles 26 and 27 of a lever 25 pivoted at 28, this lever carrying a pin 24 of the tines to be actuated by the teeth 23 of the cam 22. The pallet 29 is of the same color as the dial, white for example, with the exception of the. zone 31 of its end which has another color, red for example, and is intended to appear in front of window 41 of the dial, when the counter is in the warning position.
The right-hand rotation of the sector 5 is limited by the fixed stopper 42, and the left-hand rotation of the cam 22 and of the needle 1 is limited by the stopper 43 carried by the cam 22 and meeting the sector 5 when the latter. This abuts against the stopper 42.
A lever 36, pivoted at 37, carries a flexible blade 39 and is under the action of a spring 38 which tends to turn it to the right so as to bring the flexible blade 39 against the smooth and screwless periphery of the lancing device. 11 to immobilize the latter: in or be, this lever 36 carries a pin 40 which is in the path of the shoulder 17 of the push rod, and its right-hand rotation movement is limited by the pillar 7.
This embodiment has. has been specially established for controlling the duration of telephone conversations on networks on which the duration of a single conversation is limited to three "minutes; its operation is as follows: When requesting a call, the operator, by pressing the push-button 20. brings the components into the reassembly position (fig. 1), position for which the indicator hand 1 is exactly at the zero of the graduation and corresponds to the blocking of sector 5 between the two stops 42 and 43; to.
this position, the pallet 29 shows its white zone opposite the window: 41 and. is held fixed by pressure of its bosses 3? and 33 against the jaws 26 and -97 of the rocker 25, the pin 24 of which is not in engagement with the teeth of the cam 22.
As soon as he has obtained the requested communication, the operator abandons the pusher 20 which the spring 18 immediately brings back by releasing the rack 11; practically simultaneously, and by action of the shoulder 17 on the pin 40, the lever 36 is caused to turn to the left against the spring 38, the flexible blade 39 gives up the balance 11 by imparting an impulse to it and the clockwork movement starts.
When about two and a half minutes have elapsed, one of the teeth 23 of the cam 22 meets the pin 24 which it raises little by little by turning the lever 25 to the left which, by its beak 26 pressing against the boss 32, turns the pallet 29 to the right until the red zone 31 thereof is opposite: the window 41 (fig. 2). The operator is then visually warned that the first three minutes of conversation will soon have elapsed.
The counter continuing to run, at the precise moment when the three minutes have elapsed, said tooth 23 leaves the pin 24 and, under the action of the spring 35, the pallet 29 and the lever 25 return to the position of no warning. weaving shown in fig. 1, the red zone having suddenly left the counter 41.
Under the action of the other three teeth 23, the same function is repeated every six, nine or twelve minutes, and the operator knows whether his conversion is single, double, triple or qua druple.
Having made the complete turn of the dial, the hand passes the twelve (which corresponds to zero) of the graduation, by a few seconds of excess walking provided as a safety, in order to be sure that the red zone of the pallet has left the ca dran counter.
Being then in the non-winding position, the meter is ready to be wound up again by pressing the push-button to check a new telephone conversation.
Under the action of the spring 35 actuating the pallet 29 by its pin 34, the pin 24 of the lever 25 constantly tends to remain on the path swept by the teeth 23 of the cam 2, and this even during reassembly or it is then pushed back by these teeth 23, which, by the action of the boss 27 on the boss 33, only has the effect of turning the pallet slightly to the right; this combination of the two bosses 27 and 33 allows, for the actuation of the pallet 29 and of the lever 25, the use of the single spring 35, when reassembling as well as during operation of the apparatus.
The meter according to the invention could also be combined with an electric lamp, an electric bell, etc. in circuit with a source of electricity, and operating simultaneously with the paddle. at minutes three, six, etc.
The rocker 25 and the pallet 29 constitute the optical warning member, the cam 22 of which is the control member; the lever 36 and its flexible blade 39 constitute the watchmaking movement launching member, the sector 5 and the spring 8 of which constitute the motor device; the-rack 14 with the res out 18 and the pusher 20 constitute the control organ of the counter.
A counter according to the invention can be used to monitor time intervals other than the duration of telephone conversations, and it can differ from the embodiment described and represented, for example, by the number of teeth of the cam and their distribution on it, by the number of minutes that the indicator hand takes to travel through the corresponding graduation cl-ut dial, by the arrangement of the springs, by the shape of the lever and of the paddle as well as by the color areas of the latter which could bear various signs, by another arrangement of the stoppers, etc.
