Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein     Aryloxy-          na.plity        llzeton    herstellen kann, wenn man auf       ss-Naplithol,    mit oder ohne Zusatz von     Ver-          dünnunl;s-        bezw.        Kondensationsmitteln,    aber  unter Ausschluss von     Alkalien,        Belizotriehlo-          rid        einwirken    lässt.

   Das so gewonnene 1 .     1'-          PhenyInaplity    1 - 2'-     oxy    -     keton    bildet weisse  Nadeln,     !die    bei 175   schmelzen und sich in       Ätzalkalien    und in konzentrierter Schwefel  säure mit gelber Farbe lösen.         Beispiel:            19,,i.    Teile     Benzotrichlorid    und 14,4 Teile       ss-Nalilitliol    werden unter Kühlung in 100  Teile konzentrierte Schwefelsäure eingetra  gen und so lange zusammen gerührt, bis sich  keine Salzsäure mehr entwickelt.

   Hierauf  giesst man in Wasser, filtriert das ausge  schiedene 1 .     l.'-Plienylnaphtyl    -     2'-oxy-keton     ab und .reinigt es durch     Umkristallisieren     seines     Natriumsalzes.
