Abstract

This is shredding of kitchen waste / scraps usually dumped into a composter.
The instrument is connected to the top of a lawn mower and is powered by the same shaft that rotates the lawn mower blade. The shredded pieces are then directed onto the grass by an ejection plate.

Claims No. 1 Kitchen waste container with open top for reception of waste also showing cut out at bottom of canister wall for discharge of shredded waste.
No. 2 Waste shredder showing shredders and serrated cutting blades.
No. 3 Ejection plate No. 4 Shaft extension to control rotation of shredder plate and ejection plate.
No. 4a Fixed connections to secure plates to extension shaft.
No. 5 Shaft coupling connecting upper shaft to lawn mower shaft motor.
No. 6 Cut out of canister allowing shredded kitchen waste to be ejected from canister.
No. 7 Splash wall preventing waste from contact with lawn mower operator.
