Abstract

L'invention concerne des catalyseurs d'hydrocraquage utilisant des agrégats stabilisés de petites cristallites de zéolite Y qui sont agglomérées en des particules secondaires plus grandes. Au moins 80% des particules secondaires peuvent comprendre au moins 5 cristallites primaires. La taille des cristallites primaires peut être d'environ 0.5 microns maximum, ou d'environ 0.3 microns maximum, et la taille des particules secondaires peut être d'environ 0.8 microns minimum, ou d'environ1.0 µm minimum. Le rapport entre la silice et l'oxyde d'aluminium de la zéolite Y agglomérée stabilisée résultante peut être de 4: 1 ou plus. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de tels catalyseurs dans des procédés d'hydrocraquage pour la conversion de pétrole lourd en produits pétroliers plus légers.
